Crazy busy week. Moved from a sixty door facility to a brand new state of the art one hundred and twenty three door facility, worked a sixty seven hour week (last week was seventy five hours), got front windows tinted (fifty percent) lowered rear end and removed leaf blocks, put on my caliper covers, summer wheels and tires, LED reverse bulbs, got in my LazerLite tonneau cover, prepped it for install when the rain ends, and to top it all off I went home sick last night with what I think is strep throat. Next week will be headlights w/ultra's, easy down tailgate addition, black rear bumper, LazerLite install and hopefully a shorter week, about sixty hours...

Pic looks good Ryan, I sure wish that I could get away with that tint around here. I have a D.O.T. form signed by my doctor for light sensitivity, but that doesn't stop the pull overs. I understand the law and why it's in place(officer safety) I understand the additional benefits of the law(justified pull over, additional charges like DUI's and drugs as a result of the pull over) I just wish that they could attach the form to my DL info. I may go back for thirty five percent and push my luck. Sixty bucks for the front two windows, told me he'd redo if I didn't like the fifty as he installed it at night.

Never been a fan of heavily tinted windows. Can't really explain it but I've never been able to convince myself that the perceived benefits outweigh the fact that they suck to see out of in the dark and that the tint up front wouldn't fly here in Michigan or back in NH.

Jon you got that that glaucoma too? I know over here you aren't allowed to have ANY tint on the front windows but can go to like 15% on the back. I get questioned on my factory tint. Officers here have a hard on for giving tint tickets

I have- wait for it- photophobia. No, I'm not afraid of having my picture taken... I think the law here is eighty five percent transparency, which is stock. The fifty I have now is probably still transparent enough to get by with, but Ryan's tint on my black truck would look sweeeet. Oh yeah, forgot the footwell lighting coming next week as well. Going with red, hoping it will look good with the black interior. A co-worker has red in a black on black Ram and it looks great. I will probably do it the same way I did my '07, used an add a fuse and tapped the steering wheel control backlight fuse, #3 on the dash panel. I used amber on the last truck as it had a cashmere interior. If this is too distracting when driving I'll just move the add a fuse to the dome light fuse and go from there.

Drove 100 miles to get an extend ball for my B & W, since when I went to get the trailer I am using this week my brother told me to be careful the last two trucks that had been hooked to that trailer had broken the back glass on both of them and dented the cab on the first one. Not going to take a chance unless I really need to at this point.

Now loading up for a 600 mile trek!! :jester:

Its actually not that dark. Its only 1 "shade" darker than legal tint. I rarely have them up in the car unless its parked

I can also get a note if needed as I am more sensitive to the light after laser eye surgery but I havent had to.

Looked for my rattle, but I think it has something to do with my seat so I'll call the dealer, and let them figure it out. I also decided to remove the bowtie from my tailgate.

Pulled my 20 foot jon boat with the jet motor to the fishing lake. No fish. But the jet motor is fun to play around with.

Rolling over to 100k tomorrow.

Looks good Daryl. Are you debadging all of it or just the bowtie?

Thanks, just the bowtie. I like it with just the Silverado lettering, and 6.2L badge. I took the Flex Fuel badge off last summer.

daryl , I am debating just removing the bowtie, or painting just the gold bowtie white and leaving the chrome surround.. Does the gold separate from the chrome? wondering if i can stick a thin screwdriver in between chrome and gold insert and pop out the gold. Not sure tho.

Today I installed the bull bar.. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/151227-bull-bar-installed/ Pics there.
