Yeah, this thing is pissing me off, it shifts horribly. In drive it doesn't shift down to pass, and in sport it doesn't shift up properly after passing. And it get's about the same MPG as my 2014 Silverado did, but the tank is ridiculously small. It's only got 3500kms on it and it's been in twice for no start. I'm actually thinking of taking a hit on it and trading it in on an older vehicle. This is the last time I buy a Ford…

I looked at a 2015 CX3, before I bought the Escape, and I didn't mind the exterior, but the interior suffered from the same old shitty and cheap Mazda interior. And unless they started using a different process on the bodies, they'll be rusted out in 5 years. And not surface rust on the frame, I mean holes in the body

I looked at the XV from Subaru as well, and I did like it, but the interior seemed dated, not as cheap as the Mazda, but dated I actually kick myself for not buying it instead, because this Escape has put the last nail in the Ford coffin for me, never again Complete garbage

Where you went wrong was the 2015. And you probably looks at a lower trim, you don't get real leather until the top level. In some Toyota you don't even get leather at ANY trim level. Mazda replaced most of the interior materials in 2016. Although it's ironic to hear GM owners complain about cheap interiors, isn't it?

Mazda's previous issues were Ford related. Once Ford sold their part, all of a sudden they start winning comparisons, awards, and have quality and sales increases. Go figure.

I don't know, my 2009 Mazda interior was better than stuff GM makes now.

LMAO! I discovered that too when we moved down here in 2011. And lizards.... They are everywhere and in everything. The one good thing is the lizards eat the huge Florida bugs so I don't mind them as much.

I saw a bunch of those in my buddy's trash container. They were easy to catch since it was 50° out at the time. The ones in Phoenix you can't even get near. They move at the speed of light in that triple-digit summer heat!

.... This is the last time I buy a Ford…

Like I always say ... it doesn't much matter what brand you buy nowadays. Going cheap is the name of the game in any line of manufacturing today. Everything fails before it should, and is shoddily built ... aside from DR power equipment, but that's off topic.

Moral of the story....buy what makes you happy....with a warranty.

Nope looked at a GT, and it was a 2016 (I forgot it was the only 2016 I looked at because 2016 is the first year for the CX3). The seats were uncomfortable, the centre console felt like I could rip it out it was so cheap, and when I touched the touch screen I swear it was going to fall of. My parents have owned 2 Mazda's and they were both rusted out at the dog legs before they were even out of warranty. Which Mazda wouldn't fix…

I've never had a problem with the interiors in any of my GM's, from the 1991 C2500 to the 2014 Silverado. Even this piece of shit Escape has a nicer interior then the Mazda's I've looked at, it's just to bad that everything wrapped around the interior on the Escape is complete junk…

Mine squeaked and rattled all the way home from the dealer the day I bought it, and continues to do so.

Lots of Monday, and Friday-before-Christmas trucks rolling off GM's assembly lines ...

Oh I thought you said cx5(maybe you did originally).

Still, you are talking about a $28k car. That's not much in this day and age....

If you didn't like the cx3 you would have puked at the comparable Trax.

I Sat in a GT CX3 and it was far nicer than an LTZ Equinox in terms of interior materials. Better than a new RAV4 also. Those are bigger pricier vehicles.

My biggest gripe with Mazda is they are a day late and dollar short on the tech half the time IMO. The new CX9 is getting torque splitting AWD finally. Although no GM's offer that......

Didn't like either the Trax or the Equinox, not for quality reasons thou. I just didn't like the size of the Trax, and the Equinox just didn't catch my eye enough. A friend has an 2012 Equinox and he wishes he had bought a Jeep, but he loves the Equinox for what it is. He just wishes he had bought a true 4x4…

I even looked at the Nissan Juke and Rogue. I was disappointed with the Rogue (bad road noise and lots of engine noise). But the Juke was nice, just small.

The Escape was the best bang for buck (240hp 2.0 ecoboost, roomy, quiet and nice looking), but it just has the same problem I've had with every Ford I've ever had to deal with and that's mechanical…

Roomy? Doesn't it have the smallest interior volume in its class?

Roomy for what I needed, and in the price range I was looking for… At $25k fully loaded, GM, Dodge, Mazda, Nissan, and Toyota couldn't touch it… But, being frugal has gotten me into junk… It goes into the dealer to have the transmission looked at, if it can't be corrected, I'm going to try for lemon law. If that doesn't work, I'll be trading it in…

Escape 2.0 Titaniums START at 31k! You must have gotten a serious deal! For 25k I probably would have gone For that deal too.

Although I swore for now on I'd only buy dirt cheap cars, to minimize agony when subjected to abuse in parking lots.

I was intrigued about the new Sierra Denali Ultimate. I want GM to do something to lure me back......

But it's literally just a Denali with an extra badge and literally a couple of the the Denali options standard. Not even fully loaded. That's not very Ultimate.

The fog relay must not be getting juice, or, might not be supplying juice to the fogs.

85 & 86 need power to flow through, to create a magnetic field that connects 87 & 30 together. If you were to manually touch 87 to 30, the fogs should come on.
