Anthracite coal would work too, but it would cost you a fortune to burn it, since it comes only from PA. Can't burn in a fireplace - would need a stoker (just like a pellet stove) or hand-fired stove. They'd never know you were burning.

We have that same Dyson vac. Just had to spend some money fixing the thing. Had it almost 13 years now.

I may get the ceramic fake logs and use the gas tube

I like to burn almond wood. Plentiful aroubd here

Free is good! I've got a pretty sketchy chimney, so burning wood here would be a big risk. Besides the fact I have zero time for cutting and splitting the amount needed to keep this drafty 170 year old place from freezing. Would take 6-8 cords a year, I figure. As it is, we burn almost 6 tons of coal a season.

We have oil as our main heating. Even at the current prices it would still cost a fortune to heat this place using only that. Wish I could just turn the dial, but no money trees growing out back here.

Would be close to $3k a season. Was double that a few years ago!

Got natural gas and i live in a newer, well insulated, 1250 sq ft house

This place needs an overhaul. House is roughly 1600 sq.ft. total - living space is less than that. Used to feel the wind blow through the walls laying in bed, when we had our bedroom on the second floor. We've since closed down the entire second floor to storage. Was costing us a fortune to try and heat up there.

Only option for this place is spray foam insulation. Big $$$, even if I do the work myself (ALOT of work too - who knows the cans of worms that will be opened gutting this place). Not gonna happen anytime soon.

Didn't wash either vehicle but was able to find the oil drain plugs & filters. So both vehicles got an oil change. Well her Jeep did, the truck was only a filter change. I did add a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer. It had a syrup kind of consistency. It may be snake oil, but worth a shot. It was on sale.

It thickens the oil so it is harder to burn off

But you should always change pants after pooping yourself. Have you never had the stomach flu?

Crashed my truck into my garage door last night. Pretty pissed off. It didn't go all the way up (about a foot hanging down) didn't see it in the dark. Have some nice scratches. Need a new 3rd brake light and garage door. Luckily was able to get it back on the track to close it last night. Not fun getting in a truck this morning at 20 degrees
