Been many, many years since mine looked that good.

I used to be fanatical about keeping my stuff spotless. I used to spend 4 hours detailing my motorcycle when I was in my 20's. Would take an entire day detailing my '88 S15 when I was a teenager. These days I just go to the carwash and settle for a half-assed job - just the thought of dragging all the cleaning stuff out makes me sick. I don't even care anymore, lol. Just as well, because the Silverado already needs a paint job.

As far as I'm concerned its starting to come around for being 21years old with 320 000km it was my oil patch work truck for just over a year didn't want to get my new at the time 13 dirty plus this old girl gets 20-23mpg rain wind or shine highway with about 800 pounds of frack sand in the box for winter weight. This truck has bin an incredible truck its stupid reliable great on fuel the A/C blows cold enough air to give a polar bear the chills. I once had my 13 Z71 stuck as could be in snow and used this weighed down 2wd with very nice grippy expensive tires to yank it out. Believe it or not with the tires that are on this truck and with lots of weight this 2wd will go places some 4x4s can't (in snow any ways). People dis these old 5.7TBI Chevy's but for pure reliability they cannot be beat and its not fast no but with the 4sp and 373gears she does have a ton of low end torque it pulls loads like a diesel. Any one else have a good old Chevy if so I'd would be interested to see and I'm sure everyone else here would it gets boring looking at another 14+ GM with a lift and fancy rims let see some old rigs for change.

Ordered BFG KO2's in a 285/65/18 on Saturday, they go on tomorrow morning. Pretty darn excited.

That seems to be a lot of members choice of tire here. BFGoodrich is getting rich lol!

Haha yes they are! It took me months to decided what tire I wanted. Typically I have a tire fetish than lands me a set of mud tires or hybrid AT/MT's. Now that I'm married, and we are hoping to start a family, I went with a tire that I know will perform and last. I've had one set of KO's in the past so I figure I'll be happy with the KO2's, plus I really like the new sidewall.

I really like the sidewall on them too. I still think they might not be as aggressive as I would like though. I'm looking to go further with my next tire, maybe a Cooper ST. I have a long way to go yet so I can think on it for a while.

My old '94 I sold to buy the '07.

Nothing could beat this truck off the line - cars too! Thing launched like you wouldn't believe ... up until I put a stupid TB spacer and headers on it. Was trying to get more power, but with the throttle body FI, what you have is what you get. Still fell on it's face over 4k either way.

Never had one issue with the driveline or interior on that one. Was a sharp looker for it's age too. Had 266k on it when I sold it in '07. Someone's probably still driving it, if the body is still with us ...

My first truck had KO's, since then my trucks have had a plethora of tires: BFG mud terrains, Revo 2's, Trail Grapplers, Cooper ST's, Cooper STT's, and now KO2's. I almost bought the ST MAXX for this truck but they were about $100 more and they didn't come in white letters.

That's another issue I have when it comes to tires. I always want white letters, and sometimes that makes it even more difficult. I guess I'm old school. lol!

Man, and I thought my interior was dated. Lol! Still a nice truck though.

Yeah I still love those too, although I think they'd look a little funny on my '07. It's too modern looking with all it's rounded, aerodynamic bodywork.

Thanks - wish I still had that one. Yeah, compared to the new ones it definitely looks dated. They were in full cheapout mode in '88-'94.
