Drove to a buddy's and started to install a supercharger on his 2009 Challenger SRT8. Everything done up to fuel pump and dropping on the supercharger, fluids, gauges and tune. Won't beat him anymore...

I'm still under warranty, so I'll be good for now. I'll still get him off the line, I've got the 4WD advantage at launch and he'll have a tough time hooking up. I hope... :)

Just a quick question...

...when I washed my truck today I noticed that the two outside mirrors are different.

The passenger side mirror is just "plain" glass and on the driver side mirror there is a rim (for the lack of words) around the glass.

Is it related to the "automatic dimming"-thing or what is the reason?

I used to build our mirrors, the driver side glass has esc (electro static charge) which is related to auto dimming there's mercury in the mirror that when the mirror senses light it heats up and makes it turn blue to dim headlights behind you. There also may be a sticker applied that heats up if you have heated mirrors. The mirror on passenger side is curved so you can see at the angle the driver is positioned at. The most it gets is the heated sticker. Esc glass is expensive and heavier than the regular glass on the passenger side.

What you're seeing is the black plastic backing that connects the glass to the actuator. On driver side it's heavier plastic to accommodate the thicker glass which does stick out more and fill in the plastic better. The passenger side being that it's cheap thin glass it pressed in by hand by an employee and it always leaves an edge no matter how good you are at it. Nothing to worry about it's just the thicker glass you're noticing.

So after all that I need a new bumper, bumper valance, wheel well liner, and still need to reattach the ECU housing since it got knocked loose. And it's throwing a code for engine to lean now... Fun times
