will the radio in my new truck see a playlist?

Just bought a new 2012 Silverado the radio has a usb port. I plug it a thumb drive, it could read the folder and files but it did not recognize the playlists. Is there a way to setup playlists on the OEM radio?

If you press the button with the musical note then it should display playlists. But with USB sticks there is no standardized format for the file structure so sometimes the radio can be picky about seeing them. Never had any issues with an iPod though.
