Well, just went out today and picked up a Stoeger 12 gauge Coach Gun Supreme. Always had a soft spot for traditional fire arms. They have a simplicity, yet extreme effectiveness that seem to stand the test of time. 20" double barrel with removable choke tubes. Double triggers. Yet another good firearm to add to the small collection I have. A great firearm to have around the farm where I live.

 

7 years in the Army, and I just never got excited about owning fancy stuff. I hated the M-16 I carried when I was in, and swore I would never own an AR and never have. I did have a fondness for the M-14 though. I have always liked lever guns in big bores and other stuff like the Stoeger double barreled coach gun I picked up today. The only autoloading military style I would care to own is the M1 Garand or the 1911 .45, which I do have one of. Again, some things just plain do the job great and stand the test of time.

 

Living 12 miles out of town, it would take any county LEO some time to even get near my place in an emergency. We are on our own if someone wanted to break in or steal something on our property. Owning firearms are not just a luxury, they are a necessity. And the hunting is good too!

I know you said PSA, but isn't that lower an Anderson lower? Seems to be with that roll mark.

Should have went with the PSA lower as well.

which complete upper did you get? If it's the FN barreled upper, you have a great quality barrel.(it would be 1in7" twist CHF FN roll mark on barrel)

Looks like a commercial buffer tube with no staking of the castle nut. What weight buffer came with it?

It's an Aero Precision ... I believe Aero makes the lowers for PSA.

 

No, this one is not CHF, so probably not the FN ... It was my first build. I only paid roughly $540 shipped, including the Magpul sight.

 

I have two AR's now, but I have plans to build a couple more, especially since all assault weapons ban items have finally been lifted for LE members, here in Massachusetts ...

Good deal, Aero makes quality products. If you do decide to purchase another upper from PSA, go with the FN barreled one. Top of the line stuff for a great price.
