Most people tend to think of 'Vettes as "ticket getters", but you wouldn't believe how many breaks I was cut when I had mine. Being respectful to the cop didn't hurt, either. I know other 'Vette owners who've had the same good luck in their "travels".

I have seen a few new SS Camaro's here in Houston on 610. Brand new white, unmarked with the gunmetal wheels just hanging out on the shoulder using the radar. Strobes in every light possible, and light bars all in the windows with limo tint. They almost got me a few times now lol.

A few years back in Indy we saw an unmarked 5 L Mustang w/ someone pulled over on the side of I-465. I think that's the only non-traditional police car that I've seen in my travels.

Ford stopped production of the Crown Vic earlier in the 2012MY & closed the St. Thomas Ontario assembly plant.

There's a small town here in Tennessee (White Bluff) that is using Priuses for their cruisers.

Way to save fuel costs! Also, way to get beat by a Ford Pinto :driving:

If all they're gonna do is cruise, I guess a Prius would do.

As a full on patrol car I doubt it but I've seen little cars like that used for parking enforcement or other "light" police work.

Now I've seen a Prius run 110 mph on the freeway because i was doing 100 and I got passed so they wouldn't be bad. California doesn't want the Caprice, Impala, Charger, or the Taurus for the Highway Patrol cars because the payload is significantly less than that of the Crown Victoria
