Stalling at car wash, wtf??

My 1996 Z71 5.7L has stalled out twice at the car wash. It has something to do with the under carriage spray. After the first time stalling, I would go through before it started the under carriage spray and had no issues but today could not get ahead of it. Now I want to fix it! Ideas?????

Their just happens to be a mechanic shop across the street. One of the guys seen I was having issues and walked over. I told him what it was doing and started saying something about the coil pack but then it started up and he needed to leave abruptly. I don't know if that helps anyone.

Probbly got water on the coil and the dryed it up enough to fire back up

Where is the coil? Up near the windshield?

The coil is on the passenger side right behind the thorttle body you cant miss it,You could have a cracked distributor cap causing water to hit the rotor therefor losing spark.

Its definitly a spark/coil issue.. same thing happened to me in my 05 sierra..two bad coil packs

This has happened to me with my '06 Pontiac Torrent a couple times, once it wouldn't start...the other time it would run but it wouldn't rev or move.....

I waited a few minutes and it went away though....

In order to clean the undercarriage of a truck, get as low as possible and blast everything underneath to get rid of dirt and grime.
