Thanks Someone said that those marks are from the metal inside the door where the mirror is connected. I'm pretty sure it's just watermarks??

clay bar, a good machine polish, and wax.

Just be ready to do the whole truck haha.. once you do that one spot the rest of the truck will look dull.

X2..............That small area will look new when you are finished. Enitre truck needs to be done to make it look right.

Take you time and do not apply alot of pressure, also do not stay in one area for too long as to prevent any damage to the paint. No pressure...

Also, watch anywhere on the truck where there are sharp bends in the metal, you can clear the paint off of a bend in metal in a second!

Those are definitely water stains... one thing to understand wax is for PROTECTION, not CORRECTION... so when you run into things like this wax is never the solution. The only time you wax is AFTER the issues are resolved. Wax is to serve as a sacrificial layer of protection and thats about it. Clay then polish will be the fix there, then once its gone apply wax to keep it from becoming a problem again.

Using a machine scares me I've see the damage they can do any tips?

Its actually much easier than you think it is, most of the 'damage' people think they can do with a machine is perpetuated on the web by people who've never used one. Check out these videos:
