Want to go from Vinyl flooring to carpet

Did you try the dealer? Never know, it may be one of those items that is real cheap. Try going to your salesman that sold you the 2010 and see if he can swing a deal with the parts department.

Not that I am suggesting this, but, I once saw a guy rent a vehicle that was the same model as his, bring it home, and swap some interior parts with his car....

That sure is straight up stealing...

I wonder if I get some industrial Velcro and slap it to the bottom of some genuine gmc mats and to the floor of they'll stick... Anyone want to think that'll work? Also I found the carpet too, i called the dealer, 450 new. And if I order it and have it shipped I'll get dinged on the customs stuff.

Get it shipped via USPS. No insane brokerage fees. There are also places around Niagara Falls NY that will accept packages for you. You drive down, pick it up, and drive back. Even if you declare it when crossing, you only have to pay hst(may only be gst) on it. Take the wife away for the weekend, two birds with one stone.

I'm about 45min from the odgensburg border. I could do that. But I find through USPS it becomes Canada post and u still get nailed. I haven't quite decided yet what to do.

You don't get dinged with CP. They'll charge you $8 for customs + GST and any applicable duty. It's UPS ground, Fedex Ground, DHL, etc, that charges the r*pe charge for "brokerage" to bring it across the border.

I have the vinyl too. I ended up getting a roll of that anti slip mat (in the shelf paper section of lowes/walmart) and cut it to fit the bottom of my floor mats. Put it between the floor and the mats. Seems to do a pretty decent job of keeping the mat in place. Rug anti slip pad would work too.

I had a 2010 RCSB WT with the vinyl floor covering. I recently upgraded to a 2012 Ext Cab. During the two years I owned the 2010 I did several upgrades and mods, one of which was to swap the vinyl for new factory carpet. It was a very simple process that took a little over an hour to complete. The expense was minimal and the result was worth every penny. I would do it again in a micro second! Good luck with yours.
