My a/c onthe driver side of my 2004 silverado z71 starts blowing hot air it is dual climate with the switches that slide up and down I can turn the truck off and back on and it blows cold again for a minute what is wrong

I am having the same situation on my 2004 Yukon Denali. It will start blowing out hot air sporatically on engine start ups and blow cold on the passenger side. You can turn the air off at the controls but it will still blow out hot air to the floor on the drivers side. If you turn the engine off and wait a minute or so, it will somehow reset and blow cold. Can this be fixed with one of the two solutions above?
