Got a wild hair today

I priced a LQ9 swap. It's cheap. $3,000 including engine with about 30,000 miles. That is all labor and parts. It will only take them 2 business days as well. I know what I'm doing after the holidays.

I didn't yet. Its from Cal Speed and performance. A shop here that deals with LSX engines. They are take outs. They will install and dyno tune it.

That's a really good price, it'd be a stretch to find the motor alone for that here sometimes...

Yea I've had trouble fonding one myself. I was referred to them. I called and it is an awesome deal and for them to do a shift kit and servo is good too

It's 6.0...same as vortec max, Cadillacs couple other things. I think 345hp.

$3k for the motor swapped in is a smoking deal! So long as they have a good reputation I'd say go for it.

Once my motor goes plan is either a 6.0 or 6.2 swap with a set of headers and tune and shoot for 400-450 at the motor. While the 5.3 is decent, man is it a slug in a 5000lb truck. I die when a honda outruns me on the highway.

Blower and things are way down the road. First is the engine and 3.73's. Also the tune. I can't go 4.10's. I drove too many highway miles
