I don't mind the Z71 stickers but the 4x4 ones I don't like much personally. By far the best visual thing I did was debadging the tailgate- I've gotten compliments from people who aren't even gear heads.

The Z71 package can be found on 2WD trucks. I'd rather see a 4X4 sticker than that watered down Z71 stuff. :D

i personally dont like any stickers or badges or anything.. dont like tacky names like raptor or even vortecMAX badges.. luckily GM isnt big on gaudy names like dodge is.. like that rams that say BIG HORN or RUMBLE BEE with horrid decals from the factory.

just saying how i feel

Um, your sig???

afraid to take it off becasue of discoloration

I happen to like my Z71 stickers. I've wanted a Z71 since my best friend had his old '94, thought it was awesome. I'm just surprised they've held on so long considering what I put this truck through. The 4x4 one's aren't bad either. Although I do agree that Z71 2wd's are kind of contradictory to me so they aren't as inclusive as they used to be. I've always been curious why GM dropped the suspension badging on the 1500s but kept them for the 2500/3500s. I liked those too. Yes I'm odd, my Mommy told me so.

I don't understand the chubby some folks get for some shocks and a skid plate, but to each their own.

I wouldn't expect you to. I prefer my Bilstiens anyhow. For a lot of people I know I think they like it because they feel like part of a country song, haha.

My dealership was nice enough(at my request) to pull off the 4x4 stickers and the dealership badge before I pulled it off of their delivery floor. This truck with big 4x4 stickers looked just plain goofy, especially with the back end lowered to level.

agreed, my truck is a Z71 and dosent even have a G80. the whole Z71 thing is all marketing. the skid plate is useless anyway, its not like your going to be bottoming out your stock truck at highspeeds in a desert anyway

No but I have done it at low speeds on the dunes here in Michigan.

I could care less as far as shocks, but I really wanted the skid plates. I bought the truck when I lived in Alaska and where I went camping or just trying to get to a camping ground, I was real glad to have those plates. They've taken quite a few hits and are still hanging on.

The actual skid plates are metal, there is also a front "splash guard" that is plastic.
