iMacs

Anyone have distinct feelings. I had to set one up for work today. I didn't like it. Spending my life using Windows and various Linux distros, the iMac is completely different. Just trying to transfer files over from Windows Vista to it was a pain. Now the iMac won't even sync email. Going to be a long day figuring that one out.

I majorly dislike Macs. They're hard for me to use, and the ones I have used were very slow. Also, you pay much more for them than a pc, the value just isn't there. My Dell XPS cost about 1/3 as much as some of them.

Only becoming more popular cause kids these days will believe anything lol.Mac will never compete with PC. Even the iPhone can't compete with the androids. (Those are my opinions, so only take light heatedly)

I love my MacBook. I will never use another window product for as long as I live if I can help it. All the windows computers I've used take forever to boot up, they are very susceptible to viruses and stuff like that if you don't have some protection, and they love to freeze. My MacBook boots up fast from a being off and sleeping. Hardly ever freezes and when it does it doesn't last long. Very easy and simple to use. And it's just an all around solid feeling computer.

i dunno ive had Dell, sony, toshiba laptops...all were top of the line at the time and set up properly as well. every one of them bogged down within a year just about, the sony i eventually smashed it because i hated it. i know some people hate apple products but i dont know why, i personally love them. i had the original iPhone, iphone 3g, iphone 3gs and now have 4s. not ONE phone had ONE issue, never had to call customer support once. only reason i got new ones is cuz my contract was up. at the same time, my woman had 3 blackberries, couple samsung androids that were all a PITA!! always something wrong!! customer service was BRUTAL. she now has an iphone as well LOL. i understand that other phones are just as good on paper but yet to experience anything good with any other brands, because i had blackberries before the iphone as well. they were junk.

as for computers i now i have an iMac that is almost 4 years old, still havent had one issue. it now has probly 50 movies, 10000 songs on it. probly 3k pictures and it still runs like the day we bought it. im now typing this on a macbook pro that i purchased awhile back as well, still runs like new. maybe ive had good luck but i stand by apple products because ive yet to have a bad experience with anything ive purchased from them! and actually i have the apple internet router as well LOL...

people hate on mac because its expensive, i get it...it is expensive but i went thru 3 $1000 PC laptops all while my womans iMac still running strong. same with the phones, she was going thru 2 to my 1... i just cant justify buying a laptop per year that just runs like shit after 6 months. call me stupid but ill stick with Apple.

i personally am not a fan of apple computers. its not that i think they are bad, i just dont like the software and the program, and if something goes bad you cant fix it yourself, if its a desktop.

i stay away from low-end mainstream comuters such as compaq, low end dell's, toshiba's etc. they seem to all break after a year or 2 or bog down. i have a lenovo and its been great so far.

love iphones though

I'm currently adding MS Office to it. The boss is used to Outlook handling her email already so I am hoping this helps

I have a iMac thats about 4 years old and still running smooth (though the DVD drive is FUBAR). One thing I love about Apple is that they never really leave you behind software wise, very easy to keep up to date, even with old hardware. I also just bought a Dell Alienware and I had never used Windows 7 before in my life, and I love it as well! Don't know about windows 8 yet.... Phone wise I was thinking hard about possibly switching to an Android (Samsung GSIII) but I got a iPhone 5 for Xmas, and I love it.

I'd have to say this is one of the first reasonable bashing of the PC that I've ever heard. Most people buy the cheap crap PC's and compare them to there brand new mac book pros (which honestly they had no reason to buy the pro but apply markets it so well they get one anyways) and never seem to think that since they actually just picked crap hardware.

Can't really say why you had so many problems I like both but went pc casue my samsung notebook was under $800 dollars and run very smooth too.

Android on the other had I feel is just getting to a place where it can really start to compete with iphone stability as the OS is still somewhat new compared to IOS

That being said it still isn't the fairest comparison to today's hardware. New operating systems run as good as XP pretty much as long as you have a dual core system. It is a pretty good time we are in to get cheaper computers that still have some power in them as requirements have kind of stagnated and processors keep getting faster (well the intel ones do)

i dont buy anything thats cheap, like i said at the time everything i bought was almost top of the line. call me stupid but maybe when an apple product lets me down ill give up my view towards apple. but until that day arrives ill stand by them.

I love Macs. I am currently using a Mac Book Pro, and iPad 2, an iPhone 4, and numerous iPods. I have always been a Mac user, and will continue to do so.
