Mac Book user for 6 year. Still have the same computer and have had no problems. It might cost more up front but, when there is a new operating system, it's cheap to get 24.99 vs windows 100 +.

There is a reason Macs are consistently a whopping 6-7% of the computers in use (clue: Software availability and price are certainly part of it). Everybody I know with an Apple has it hacked to run Windows as well so they can run actual productive programming. Their stuff is reliable but not ever going to be mainstream.

Apple geeks can defend their overpriced proprietary toys all they want, but if they were all that great their market share wouldn't suck.

EDIT: For the record, I don't hate Apple. They have some very clever products and they have been wildly successful outside of the computer market.

That is the stock value, but market share referring to the number of Mac's to PC's in use. There are far more PC's in use. Most businesses run PC's.

Which still boggles my mind why they came up with Windows 8 format....

LOL Good old, Jim!

They suck because of a lack of productivity software but software availabilty isn't why they suck and they are reliable but they aren't all that great either.

I have tried windows 8, and I don't really see the point. And a lot of people don't either, by the number of start menu apps there are.

I run Windows 8 Pro on my Laptop. It has the Windows 7 desktop still. I mainly use that

It boots a lot faster

Never said anything of the sort. Your BS "proof" that their share is great has little to do with the computer market. It's hardly where they make their money. The Apple faithful seem to have as much trouble with facts as the Americans do when they vote.

All i know is windows based computers are slow, they freeze alot, and they break alot more than mac's.

My Macbook and every apple product i have owned thus far has not done any of those things.
