My first car was a 73 RX3. I put 60K miles in the one year I had it. I had 1/2 day at school and ran parts between jobs for my fathers construction business in NJ. Blew one transmission at 25K, rear end at 50K. I used to sit at a light heal on the brake toe the gas pop the clutch smoking the tire light turn green flat shift second burn the tires. Never use a drop of oil. Bought a 74 Cosmo later used that did.

Probably leaks as much as it burns

All you have to do is change oil filters on those, since you constantly have to add oil no reason to change it!

Buddy had a Prix GTP, it was fun other than the handling and torque steer.

Those Northstars are pretty reliable, just leak like a sieve.

Somehow, that car insures more than the Z28. Saw it and was thinking a great bad weather car.

Did anyone else go up north from the Phoenix area this weekend? The traffic coming back into town tonight was insane but it actually helped so that people weren't doing 80mph+ with and without trailers.

The truck once again stayed home while the Versa only used a smidge over a quarter of a tank round trip to Prescott.

I finally put a few rounds(literally, didn't have much time, and the grass was too high where we were) through my M&P 15X. Just used the Troy flip up sight the X comes with, when I used a stand I got within an inch of the target at 100 yards. Need to get to a range to dial it in better, but will wait until I get some kind of scope.

But I like it, it's easy to shoot and very little recoil. An in law with a million times more experienced with a rifle than I am even said it shoots well, so I'll take his word for it.

Feels like a waste, only time for 20 rounds and now I have to clean it

Well, took my first Uber ride. Good price IMO. $12.14 fare(for a 10 Mile drive, 17 minutes) and I tipped $4(over 30%). The estimate was $16 so I thought I was tipping very well, didnt see the $12 until I already tipped. So I'm thinking I got a great rider review. I have no idea though, maybe it's more tip reliant? I might not have to use it ever again, So I'm not too worried.

Car had some interior damage(coffee?stains etc) but was clean, (wasn't any junk or trash laying around), driver was nice(took a call from her kids school, didn't bother me that she took it, could have been a big deal, turns out the kid is special needs).

She asked me the best ways to go, so I said navigation went well, since I live in a town on the outskirts of the metro area I'd rather she ask than go the wrong way and cost me more. She said other riders have complained about the car and her asking before. I hesitated on the "cleanliness"(it had 6 categories(including other), and you select if it went well or not. No star system, just yes or no it seems). It wasn't clean by my car-ocd standards, but I didn't get my clothes dirty sitting in it, so I just tapped the box. I'm hoping tapping it means it went well. It was blue if anyone knows

So I either gave her an "IMO" review or did it completely wrong.

Edit: well, you can see your avg rating on their website. I'm at 5 stars. You can not see the rating for any particular trip. Since I have only had 1 ride, though......

I've taken uber a handful of times or so since the spring and they have all gone well. I like the no tip policy and would like it if more businesses ran like that, although I do tip if it warrants it.

I did pizza delivery in HS, and at the time that company(or the one I worked for) would tell people only tip if they felt like they wanted too, otherwise it's not expected, many people assumed the fee went to us. (It didn't)

Well, behind the scenes, that regular customer that doesn't tip, would have drivers arguing whose turn it was to get stiffed. Guy never had a complaint, and liked us enough to order at least weekly, but never gave a dime, even when it like a blizzard outside.

The fee was a dollar or more, and sometimes our "commission" would be like 50 cents for 14 mile drive, we were only promised pay at minimum wage, (minus gas and insurance of course)

Then you would have the people that always tipped, and the drivers would always get them their food ASAP, usually first stop if possible on a multi stop run. We had a customer 3 blocks away that would still tip a buck or two. I delivered to a business once, 20 pizzas, $20 tip from a salesman. The next time, the accountant paid, no tip.

I do think that it would be better if all business that see tips just paid their employees better. But that just isn't how it is in most cases.

Me? If I can, I get the pizza myself, even on vacation.

I'm retired and drive uber sometimes for a hobby ( I like to drive ) and meet new people. Also a good excuse to buy a new ride evey two years. The only time I would say to tip is if they driven a ways to get to you and you only going a few miles, you'll know by the wait time. The rating is stars and 5 is normal only lower if your ride is bad. 4.5 is consider not that good and 4.8 is adverage I'm a 4.91. Most of my riders tell me most drivers are retired doing it for something to do. If their doing it for a living they're working thier tales off.
