I like how people pay all this money for their shiny new iphone and then are never there to receive it when it's delivered. There's a paper you can fill out and sign for the UPS driver to leave it, but most people don't do that (I wouldn't). Even better is when UPS upgrades them to Saturday deliveries because they weren't delivered during the week and people still aren't home to receive them. Oh well I got paid the same regardless if I delivered them or not. Well actually I got more time since they were end of day instead of before noon time commit.

UPS in my area doesn't work that way. I rarely ever have a package that isn't left at the door, and I have never had a package delivered on Saturday, even if it was sent to the wrong city on Friday(happened multiple times, and that city is served by the same UPS office)

And any inkling of hope OK State Football had for the playoffs is gone. At least it happened early.

Saturday is a premium service so if you don't pay extra you'll almost never see something delivered from us on a Saturday. There are only certain things that can't be left (driver released). Apple phones are one thing that can't be left, on "Apple Saturday" they would pound that into our heads multiple times, send multiple messages on our computers, and probably some dummy still left them.

never had to sign for a phone here. Personal or work. They have always left it.

I have UPS MyChoice so I electronically release packages that need signatures, unless there is special notes for the Apple devices

My shit gets dropped over the fence. Locked via bluetooth. USPS is a pain in the ass here. Rural route, plus locked gate means i get brown slips every god damn day. Im on a first name basis at the post office

Engine code for that model Duramax. It goes LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMZ, LML and now the new one that came out is the L5B I want to say

Actually I believe LMZ is really LMM. (2008-2010)

You know they make big mail boxes just for that reason. Common sight at least around here.

You can get the jumbo standard boxes for $32 on amazon(you can rig up a lock pretty easy), or.....

I guess other centers/hubs have different policies, I only know what I was told multiple times. Normal weekday drivers have more leeway than Saturday drivers as well. I hated gated communities, 85% of the time I didn't have a code b/c UPS's system is retarded. The codes are in our computer but you have to know the area you're in and use a "trick" to get the codes. Only works if you know the area you're in really well though. I never knew where I was lol

Those gated communities are a joke. Most vehicles just follow another in.

The Ok State vs Central Michigan fiasco. Wow. If you haven't heard, OK state played poorly for three quarters(the QB WAAAY off his game, it was shocking), but was still winning when the ref from CM's conference made it very clear he didn't know the rules. The replay booth, run by OSUs conference could have stepped in and corrected the call, but proved they didn't know the rules either. Also, OSU performed a play that was going to induce the penalty to begin with, and the head coach's said he didn't realize it, and it seems the offense didn't point it out either. The refs let CM have a play with time run out already. Then CM pulls off an amazing play and it stands because the officials still hasn't realized they enforced the wrong rule.

And to top it off, NCAA rules say the outcome of a game can not be over turned NO MATTER WHAT once game is ver, so OSU keeps the loss.

What a train wreck. Two wrongs CAN make a right in college football. The big 12 refs were suspended for not catching MAC ref Tim O'Deys mistake, but no word on if he will have consequences(probably not since his bad call benefits his own conference)

Would you like some cheese?

CMU has always giving Michigan State a run for its money. Been the opener for the longest time I could remember until this year.

It's like watching the Detroit Lions there is two sets of rules on the field. Ones the Lions have to follow and the other teams dont.

Thank goodness it was just a game and it doesn't actually matter. :P

Oh, I don't care that much, it's just amazing so many people failed in succession whose job it is to know better.

I'm not even a fan of football but it sucks to see the cardinals lose the game like they did today. I guess it sums up why some teams are champions and others are not.

    • BEAUTIFUL!! That a Cutlass F85? Or 442? My side-ID skills are lacking thanks to failing memory, lol. Love that color & year, too!   Yeah I was never big on entering my own stuff, but I always liked seeing what everyone had, the rare models, and what's been modified. That was always fun. These days I have barely enough time to do what needs to be done at home.    Oddly enough, here in MA there are more car shows than ever in history! You'd think up here it would be dead, but it's bigger than EVER!          Took the 940 for its maiden voyage with the carburetor. At first I couldn't get out of the yard! This originally had the "Bosch" system (our other 940 has Regina - single fuel pump in fuel tank, and space-age-looking ignition coil on driver's fender) - that has dual fuel pumps. One in the tank, and one under the center left of the vehicle. I had unplugged the external one thinking I wouldn't need it with the carburetor ... but the way I have the pressure regulator hooked up, 90% of the fuel volume is going back to the fuel tank, so cranked all the way down, the regulator is only supplying a hair above 3.5 PSI to the carb. Turns out the in-tank pump (15 PSI alone, instead of 45) couldn't handle the load. Plugged it back in and went for a rip. Ran great!   Throttle response is always amazing with carburetors. ZERO delay that no FI system can reproduce. Also fires up in half the crank rotations as before. Low end power was DRAMATICALLY improved. There was an ongoing lean issue with the FI that I got tired of figuring out, so this is a MASSIVE improvement! Above 50 MPH on hills it feels SUPER weak, though. This is more than likely due to the timing not being advanced enough by the computer, since it believes there are multiple failures. I can live with that through the winter. Will keep me from passing slowpokes where I shouldn't and getting speeding tickets at least. 😁
    • I like driver quality. I bought a 64 elcamino a few years ago. All original as it turned out. I didn’t know at the time. I made a low ball offer and got it. Black on black factory air 4 speed. It drove like a school bus. It had been awhile I had forgotten just how bad the old cars drove. So I planned on making it more of a retro ride. I would drive it to work sometimes. My brother liked to build cars, I liked to drive them race them. So he noticed the canister oil filter and open blow by tube. He checked the numbers. All original. 327, 250 hp close 4 speed, posi rear end. I put it on eBay made a tidy profit. I didn’t want the responsibility or headache. My wife already had a pristine collector vehicle. It lives in the climate controlled garage. I really don’t care what it is. I like to feel the sensation of speed. Let someone else have the responsibility. I’m too OCD. It used to drive me crazy. I can appreciate people who like to take the responsibility. I’m glad they do. I’ll look and remember back to those days. I’ll jump in the wife’s Genesis to get gas for her. Get my sensation of speed and be happy for awhile.

    • I’ve had plenty of nice cars but car shows have never really been my thing personally. I’d much rather be driving or wrenching. But over the years I’ve noticed they are dying out. This one has even been canceled in the past. Hate to see that happen so I brought my Olds out for the afternoon. If turnout was really bad I had the TRX on standby too but thankfully quite a few nice rigs showed up. Nice people too. I may be converted.
