Th versa's battery is starting to go out and it has only lasted three years, it was replaced in the summer of 2013. It's a duralast from AutoZone and I've never had problems with their batteries, my truck has one from 2010 or 2011.

The Gold batteries have a 5 year warranty. I believe it's like 3 years full coverage and the other 2 years are pro-rated. Worth it to get it checked out, may save you the $$$

I usually always get Acdelco batteries because I would get them cheaper than anything from Autozone or Advance, but I don't have that discount option anymore. No idea what I'll buy when I need a new one.

When I lived in Phoenix, 3 years was about average, due to the heat. Better batteries lasted longer.

Really happy with my Oriellys Deka. "Super Start Platinum" AGM. I'm going to test it soon and see how it's doing power wise.

I just got a Duralast Gold 78 series last night for one of the box trucks at work. Don't need anything fancy, old battery wouldn't hold a very good charge. I've personally always had good luck with Duralast Gold batteries

Duralast is $160 so I went with an Interstate from Costco for $90, but I will get a $15 core credit.

3 year full refund on the duralast had expired, plus they couldn't find my record at AutoZone from 2013...

I'm installing tonight after work, hope all goes well.

Batteries are insane these days. Tough to find any under $100 now. $160 is friggin nuts!

I had a Duralast battery and a reman alternator for the Grand Marquis from Auto Zone back in '07. I went back there with both in '13, with my receipt. My battery was 2 months away from the end of warranty, so I got a whopping $4 back on that, lol. I declined a new replacement because their price was nuts. The alternator I got replaced with another new one. Thought I was getting a great deal after all that time ... but just 3 months after installing it, a diode failed in the regulator, which caused the battery light to light up on the dash, key off, and kill the battery flat.

When I returned that one, they refused to replace it, because "it worked". Trying to explain what a diode does to the people behind the counter was like pissing on an electric fence - painful and pointless.

I ended up going on eBay and buying a used regulator out of a Mustang. Cost me $14, and has been fine for 3 years now.

Dang didn't know Costco sold Interstate honestly. We have a company membership there I just never go cause I don't need bulk everything lol. If the prices are that much of a difference I'm gonna keep that in mind, may even return the battery I just picked up for the box truck. Hasn't gotten installed yet so I'm safe on that, and Interstate has a good name. At least so I've heard, not really had any personal experience with them

We have an Interstate Battery warehouse about 20 miles from here. Every battery I've bought there lasts a minimum of 8 years. Been pretty good. I'm suspect of anything built today, but at least in the past, they've been good. The replacement for the Duralast came from Interstate. They were having a sale on that particular battery when I walked in. My lucky day. Was $90 and change out the door. Cheaper than Wal-Mart.

Problem with batteries is, you don't know how good they are until a few years after you buy one ...

Well we all lose control of our facilities, sooner or later :(

Installed the battery this evening and the car started right up. This battery is slightly narrower than the previous one but sits tight. I may need to buy an oem over the top metal tie down, we'll see.
