Nice!

I've never owned a F150, but I've test driven a few. What were your biggest complaints?

My buddy at work has a F-150. They are good. I just like the ergonomics of the GM stuff. It would be different if there were huge problems with a brand, but if you really look objectively all of the big 3 have good trucks, and get the job done. After that it’s a matter of looks, price and generally the intangibles that make you want one brand over the other. Currently I liked the looks of the GMC over the Chevys, they reminded me of that tough squared off look of the 60's-70's Chevys. But again just my 2 cents. You will love the capabilities that the 3/4ton gives you.

My ford never broke down or anything on me. It just didn't feel as strong as my 07 silverado was. you know when you just have that gut feeling about something. I took both trucks to the sand dunes and the ford couldn't barley go on flat ground and my silverado could climb every hill. I bought the ford mainly because the looks and it was fully loaded- more of a classy truck but Im more into a tough truck that can take a beating. Also pulling performance was noticeable to me. I pull a sandrail and you could feel every pound of it with the ford. Im not bashing my ford, i feel like the bar was set very high with the way my silverado drove

I asked, because I've test driven a couple of F150's w/ the Ecoboost in the past year. The power on that motor seems well suited for towing a camper, and the interior seems better suited for family hauling w/ the leg room, etc.. When looking at them, I've had the same feeling that you describe though. My truck feels more "solid" to me. It may not be true (?), but that's my impression. I was curious about yours, and appreciate the info. Your HD is a "heck of a lot more" truck than the F150. A worry I have about the '14 GM trucks is whether they've "lightened" things up too much. By the info so far, I don't think they have, but we shall see...

Have you been in a truck with the 5.0? I don't see why anyone touches an ecoboost when that 5.0 is available.

I've ridden in several new Fords, and the main issue for me is the seats. They just don't get along with my back.

But anyhow, I'd love to have a new Chevy HD, and I'd probably go with this color. That shade of silver is awesome. And the frames are supposed to be invincible.

Nice truck!!! Ya, my dad had f-150 as well. He got rid of it pretty quick for an f-350, I know what you're saying about your gut instinct when you're drivin one. They just don't have the nice ride like a chev, I like fords interiors and standard options tho!

Any plans with the new rig?

I really liked the interior of the for ford- that was a big selling point on me, but i learned i acutally dont care much about it haha... Only plans i have right now are either rear wheel well liners or painting them. Im going to take off the running boards and see how it looks without them. and planned on turning up the torsions but should probably go ahead and get a leveling kit.
