You go Stud!  Wish I could help.

He showed up with the largest u-haul towing his Yukon full. His wife driving her Tahoe full. This was the last of three that gradually came during the summer. They close on their other home the 7th. We unloaded from 7-7. There was supposed to be help. It was just me and him. Luckily he’s an engineer so he fastened wheels on the heavy stuff. I never seen so many boxes. I hired my last move 27 years ago. I didn’t touch a thing. Here at 69 I’m moving stuff. I’d never do it for anyone else. Not even myself, he was in a bind. I was up most of the night walking off leg cramps. Anything over 7K steps that happens. A nice product of taking blood pressure meds. Along with sweating like a pig. But it’s done. Soon we’ll start on that Firebird.

So here it is a few days later. I find no evidence of a leak. Usually I would go to the valvoline quick lube for the next oil change. Then back to the dealership. This time I will go to the dealership instead. Ifs there’s no change I will bring it up. I watched the mechanic do the work so I know it was done. Even walking back there. I wanted to have him pay attention to the color and smell of the rear fluid plus the transfer case. I would do another drain and fill quickly if that was the case. He said it all looked good before saying the water pump looked wet. He really wanted to do that job. The jury is out. The amount of work that comes through there daily. It’s not like he’s sitting idle. I have no place for scammers. I’ll hold judgement for now.

After driving a little over 400 miles eventually getting to my brother in law’s house to help with his move. The Ridgeline parked in the same spot for 3 days. Not a drip anywhere. Not a change in fluid level. I can’t believe he actually put his recommendation on paper. I’m not going to hold this against this dealer. I’ve had 24 years of excellent service. But I will bring the upsell event to the manager.

If you get a good one KEEP it.  I will say this, most of the time the Honda techs are really good and honest, the mgtmet not so much as I think Honda is sucking wind on cash lately.  Arent they merging with another company? I think its another one struggling, I think Nissan but I am struggling todayh to remember things.

Yikes,      Note Honda has had a large production facilities in Ohio, Alabama,  and Indiana for years.

Sometimes they just appear. A friend from church showed me his new Ridgeline. This his old 2010 he bought new. Dealer maintained with 150K miles. I’ve been looking people are proud of them. Unless he has a change of heart. It will be in my driveway this afternoon. Backup trip vehicle or Avalanche replacement. Luckily for me having multiple vehicles isn’t that expensive. Especially if they aren’t expensive vehicles. That’s why I like having multiple older vehicles.

I’ve put about 2K miles on the Ridgeline so far. I’ve appreciated the Ridgeline before I got one. The reviews I’ve read claim it’s car like and handles as such. I own a combination of vehicles this definitely is closer to a truck than car. My mini van handles more like a sports car than it looks. I own a sports car too. Owning multiple used cars gives me the opportunity to drive my moods. Even though you know you’re in a truck it’s smoother overall than the minivan according to my wife who travels in the backseat. It could just be the high seat position. Overall I like it. If I had to choose between the minivan or the Ridgeline. It would depend on the day.
