33's on 22" wheels

i've been driving around on my 22's (pic attached) for a couple years now, and wore out the tires. This winter i picked up some 33" BFG's (275/70/18) for my stock Z71 18's and leveled the truck 2.5" and i really like the look!

Now i still have my 22" wheels ... and am trying to decide what to do with them. I found a few 33" all terrain tires for the 22's... but not sure if this combo would look outta place. Not many people seem 33's on 22's. Or i could just sell the wheels

Opinions on the 22's and 33" look?

I think a lot of it will depend on what size tire you choose. A 305/45-22 would look better than 275/50-22 IMO. However, my opinion is that if your not running 35's you should just stick to 20" wheels.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of anything over a 20" rim....unless it has a 35" or larger tire. There's just not enough sidewall for my taste. 33's on 20's look good though....just my opinion.

You said youve been driving around on 22,s so how did it look? with the 33,s im sure it will look similar with just a bit more sidewall..Depending what you were running before on the 22,s

I thought about it also because i saw a nice set of 22,s for my HD.. But I was also afraid there wouldnt be enough sidewall, I saw a set of 37,s on 22,s and even then there wasnt alot of sidewall only looked to be 5-6 "

I personally don't like anything over 20's due to a lack of sidewall like was mentioned above. To each their own.

What he said, and you could sell the 22's and use the funds for other mods :dunno:

If you want 33s I think a wheel that is a little smaller would look better. You also need a more aggressive looking wheel. No offense, but those 22s look like you purchased them in a cheap set of tire and wheel package from a hole in the wall tire dealer. When it comes to wheels bigger does not make up for quality.

I think that looks good and im sure is slightly less then a 33"

That does look good! I've seen several trucks with 33" mud tires on 22s, and it looks really good. But as mentioned above, those wheels leave a little to be desired.

That is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. I couldn't even imagine 22" with 33's.
