Recommended brake rotor/pad combination - w/ poll

I have narrowed my choices down to the combinations in the poll. I want to stay away from stock pads and rotors since my rotors warped around 25K and my dad's '07 Avalanche was the same way. I'm looking for something that stops better as well.

The first question is on the specific rotor/pad combinations I'm looking at and the second question is more of a generic question on if a Ceramic pad or Semi-metallic pad is better with a slotted rotor.

I have heard that due to Ceramic brakes holding more heat and transfering that heat to the rotors, it is best to go with slotted rotors to help the pads cool better.

All combinations are roughly the same price (under $300). I understand I can't have the best of everything but just looking for the setup that gives me the best combination of pad/rotor life, dust, noise and stopping ability. Dust is my least worry of them all since it wash the truck regularly.

I know the Powerslot/Hawk combination is really popular but I've read so much that I'm wondering if going with a slotted rotor with a good Ceramic pad (Akebono or Wagner) will give me the increased braking power like that of the Hawk or EBC pads since the slotted rotors will help keep things cooler.

Daily driver with some towing/hauling every now and then. I don't drive it like I stole it either.

I had EBC dimpled and slotted rotors with Hawk Severe Duty pads on my 09. Simply put, they would rip your face off.

Almost 70,000 on my 07 and I'm putting my first set of pads on. Hawk LTS pads and installing the Powerslot rotors with them. I've read good

reviews on both and hoping I made the right choice.

When do you plan on installing them? Can you let us know how you like them? This is my first choice based on reviews but then when I start reading more and more I get conflicting information. I know reviews can be subjective since what one person sees as a lot of brake dust another person might not think so, etc.

Being installed as I type this, I'll let you know my first impressions after I pick it up later today.

How was the pad/rotor life? What about brake noise and dust?

Didn't have them on long before I traded the truck. I put maybe 5 to 7 thousand miles or so on them. Before I traded I took the rotors off and they still looked like new. Their laying in the garage for this truck whenever I need them.
