I think the chrome front end looks great with that color. I'd top it off with chrome tow hooks...

Yeah I was already looking on ebay for takeoffs. Might be a mod when warm weather comes.

Congratulations.

I prefer the chrome front end......looks better and stands up much better to rock chips.

You had trouble keeping the gray color clean? No issues with my graystone metallic.

X2 on the GM Master Card....has saved me well over five figures over the years.

I had the taupe gray they discontinued in 2011 due to the tsunami in Japan. It wasn't awful, not nearly as bad as my 99 Silverado that was black, but unless it is red mud, I've had better luck with lighter colors. My dad had a 92 Dodge Dakota that had the solid color front end. (Yeah I know it was a Dodge) Anyway it did not hold up well with time and he had lots of chips and eventually pealing on the front end. I have always had that truck in the back of my mind when I see the solid front trucks, although I've never seen any Chevy do what his Dodge did.

As for the GM card, it has kept me in the GM truck family for over a decade.

It is all preference obviously, but the chrome fronts look good.

Passed on a all black Z71 last year because of the monotone appearance package.

Like it more now than I did, but prefer the chrome.

Glad you like it. Id like to change my lower silver valance to the black one after it gets a few years of abuse on it. After I get it paid off id like to put the HD front clip on it.

Congrats on the new truck. I'm assuming it didn't come with those tires? But I didn't see you post any info about switching anything to this truck, so I was hoping maybe they started putting a decent tire on these trucks from the factory.

Yeah, I didn't mention the change, but I did put the Cooper AT3's on the new truck. I had bought them last spring for my 2011. I almost put them on the old truck this past fall before winter, but didn't. They were in the basement and I decided to put them on the new truck. I'd talk about how much I like them, but I see you have AT3's on your truck, so you have first hand experience. I just sold the factory takeoffs Goodyear Wrangler SRA's on a local trading post. (Got a little cash I put into the Rhino liner.)

Nice ride Sylvester! Are those GM running boards? I'm in the market and those (in black) would look good on mine.

They are the GM boards. My last truck had a set of Ionic Voyagers that I bought online. They looked 99% like the GM boards. I'm not sure if they were available in black though.

Nice truck !!! That would have been my exact same truck if I could have gotten then 6 1/2 bed with the CC. Wanted the CC but needed the bed space.

One thing I don't like on the 2013 front end is that bottom silver plastic by the tow hooks. The Chrome end pieces are nice but I think that bottom piece just doesn't really match anything.

I'm old school and I like chrome, so I do like the bumper ends being chrome, but the silver plastic you speak of is not one of my favorite parts of the 12's & 13's. That's one of the main reason's I went with the silver truck. This plastic area blends in better with the silver IMHO.
