Ford MyKey

My truck stock would do just over 100, a friend of a friend who is a GM tech told me 103, that seems about right but of course the speedo doesn't have the markings to verify that. I found an out of service airfield last fall and asked the owner if he minded me "giving it a run" and he did not. Lots of fun but damn, 4x4/stock trucks have no business at 100 MPH.

I agree... When I first got my tune, I had the truck to 115, was room to climb but the tires didnt feel safe at that speed at all, my alternative and preferred speed machine was a 05 Zx-6r.

On a side note, about the only thing the MyKey or w/e it is would be fun... If my brother needed to borrow a car cause his was at the shop.. Id set that thing at 45 and laugh all the way home!

This is why I hate new cars you can't even break the tires loose on a stock car anymore without enabling or disabling crap.. Same with our trucks and that annoying torque management

Thank society for becoming a bunch of brainless drones. So now the feds have to save the idiots from themselves by mandating all these nannies.

I don't think people understand that if they don't trust their kids enough to "let go of the reins", maybe their kid shouldn't be "riding alone" in the first place.....

So I take it that when you were a young guy (maybe you still are) you never got the family car over 70...??? :driving:

I'm still a young guy.

I never really drove the family car. And my 1990 didn't really like high speeds. Yes I would tear around in the mud. I was kind of left to my own devices when it came to driving. Farm permit and I knew if I wrecked the truck I'd be without transportation to town.

Simple solution really:

Stop raising stupid children.

Then in the future where people are mixing intelligence with knowledge, we would know better and all this preventative bull would be irrelevant.
