Tranny over heating while towing

Go to your local hydraulic shop and ask for the price per foot or bulk price. You will need like 20 ft of -6 line. Teflon or rubber is up to you. I went Teflon with crimp fittings so I spent more. You will also need adapters.

The braided Teflon looks better, but costs more. It also only has an operating temp of up to 300*. So if you somehow cook your tranny the lines are toast as well

Is the braided Teflon the stainless hose? Also, did you use 3/8" line, or how big? Just wanted to get the proper line size

I used a -6 line. -6 equates to 3/8".

It is stainless braided covering a Teflon hose. Quality shit.

Yes. It will only hit that if you cook your tranny so it is safe

Did you have blinkers in mirrors originally?

I just have power with the SLE package but I would like to get them with the heat too. is it possible to get the ones with the power and the heat and hook the heat up if I didn't have it originally

No I did not originally have them. It was all plug and play. They work. So you are fine

If you want heated mirrors, you have to have a climate control with the rear defrost button. I believe the wiring is already there from the climate control to the mirrors. You might also have to put in a relay and fuse under the hood or on the driver side fuse panel, but I'm not entirely sure. I already had heated mirrors, so I'm not exactly sure.

The website I found the stainless braided Teflon said the temps. on their type of hose is -85F to +842F

 

That is a huge range. I think I would be good

If I can buy this stuff online, I could probably save a lot of money. Just find somewhere to crimp my ends onto the pipe.

 

Oh, I kept searching and there are different grades of that Teflon hose. Guess it just depends on how much you want to pay per foot.

so I've been driving around all day today without the tow and haul mode on and the transmission has stayed below 175... Who knew!

I'm still going to get the upgrade cooler but it's great to know that this works too
