brakes are good ( recently roatered and new pads)

tires are new 5,000 miles

never had any problems with the truck

regular oil changes, you could say i was OCD about it.

was brought in the 30,000 mile tune and a few tire rotation

has some dings and dents ( two) front bumper and rear passenger side,

and minor paint touch ups

ill post pic tomorrow,

part of me wants to get the extra $ but the other sais to just let the dealer deal with it

If it's close to book(trade in value) and you don't want to deal with it just try to squeeze another five hundred or so out of them and go for it. If it's not close, show them and hold out or check another dealership.

ill probly go ahead and do that, theres always room to squeeze, im just so anxious for my new one.

Bad time to trade, They have you by the nutz. Trading in the old style for a new one when they first come out is a bad move since there is usually no deals on them and the dealers know people are crazy for the new style to be first so they dont offer much incentive on your trade in to get you into a new one. I would try and sell it private.

You gotta remember tho that you do have some small damage and it is only a 4.3 Not much wiggle room to make the truck more $.

I just traded in my '06....reluctantly....truck started having issues. I got 10,500 on trade with a real bad Front Wheel Bearing, Front Axle Seal Leak, and a soon to be needed Front Pads and Rotors.....93,000 miles....was my daily driver and wood hauler, so a few dents, but otherwise great shape. I will tell ya, not at all happy with the 2013...POS in my opinion....the 6 speed and the AFM is gonna take a lot of getting used to, I can't wait to tow with it...yeah, right :ughdance:

Drive it in M5... fixing two "problems" at once. I have no desire to trade for a 6-spd version, but I would expect it to be a little better when towing (4 towing gears vs 3). The devil is in the details, though, since the "right" gear depends on speed/load/grade/etc.
