How do you like the rear leafs? How do they compare for ride against stock? I have heard others here say they are too stiff. Have you towed anything with that set up?

Yes, it was stiffer. But I am used to it now. Made a hell of a difference when lugging around a rzr 800 side by side in the back. It just didn't make sense to have the nice Fox coliovers on the front, and slip blocks in the rear. I wanted more of a full package. The new leafs only added like $300 to the cost of the entire project.

bds 6" kit right? If it is do you have the rear leaf or the add a leaf and the 5" rear block? Thank you

How high did the rear of your truck end up being? I am guessing a 5" block should put you around 45 inches?

I will try and measure it this week, but by looking at it it's 1" or so lower in the back. I just ordered the zone add a leaf last night and i'm hoping it cures this problem. I have the fox 2.0 shocks in the rear. Unless you actually plan on off roading the truck alot the front fox coil overs are a waste of money and they make the truck ride like a rock in the front. The cheaper longer struts that come in the basic kit are plenty good enough for as much offroad driving as your going to do with a truck.

Please measure before and after the add a leafs go in. Is the comment regarding coil over shocks based on first hand knowledge? This is the first time that I am hearing that the coil overs ride like a rock. Everyone else to date have said it was pretty smooth with the coil over set up. I was worried about the rear leafs being too stiff.

I have personally rode in both setups and the fox front coil overs are noticeably stiffer.

DS doesn't offer a add a leaf I believe just 5 inch blocks or a new set of leaf springs.

I have the 5 inch block but it rides great.

I only tow a small a trailer for my Rzr and I have no problems with the blocks towing that either.

Richard10688, I am about to purchase the 6" BDS kit with the Fox shock upgrade and will use the block in rear. My truck currently has a 2.5" RC level and I like the stance. My question is does yours sit about the same or does it have a little bit of rake?

I wish this process wasn't so expensive or I would already have everything I want for my truck. I just received the 35" tire yesterday and the itch for lift is getting worse by the moment.

Dang champagne taste and a beer budget?

bds offers an add a leaf, but I bought the zone ones being that they're half the price and the same thing. When I contacted bds they told me on the crew cab trucks need an add a leaf with the 5" block or the rear will sit lower.

Alright guys, I'm about to pull the trigger on a suspension lift. Looking to get into a 6" or 7" rough country. Anyone have any input on either of these kits before I move forward? I will be running 35s on some 20x9 +20 wheels. It's just hard to decide without seeing either of these lifts in person. Thanks in advance.

When I spoke to Rough Country about their 6" lift they told me I could go no larger than 295/60R20 and that was one of the major reasons I chose to go with the BDS 6" as they said I could run a 35/12.5R20.
