2014+ Suspension Lifts

So, still shopping for good deal on wheels, but was wanting to ask, only because i cant find anything i like or that meets all the specs for the lift.. Zone 6.5" I havent measured yet, but will or can this weekend..
Couldnt i add a small spacer, to be determined after measuring OEM wheels, to my 20" Polished Aluminum rims so that i only need to upgrade the tires or even run them for a while before rushing into everything..

Im ready to get the lift, just need to schedule. Looking online at tirerack, discounttire, 4wheelparts and other sites.. there are plenty of rims out there, but the ones im finding at right size, right bolt pattern, but wrong backspacing.. Zone states 5.75" for 20's and 5" for 17's everything i find shows back spacing around 4 to 4.75

If i order the rims online, i want to make sure i get the right thing..

These are the ones i have now.. im ok with these if they can be used.. specs are 20x9 i think the paperwork shows..

i havent removed one to find the backspacing and offset yet.. but if a thin spacer would work, id be all over this and in line to get the lift ASAP.

Any one know the true specs on these rims?

20x9 offset is probably +27 or +30. It says on the inside lip. If you have stamped steel UCAs they most likely won’t work with zone. On 35s you can run a x9 wheel with a 0 offset with no issues

Okay, that was a lot but I will do my best. I put a Zone 6.5 on my 2014 sierra about a month ago so I know what you're feeling. I am running a 17 inch XD wheel underneath with a 0mm offset. From using converters etc..I guess a 5 backspace is the same as 0mm offset. It all kinda confuses me honestly and I was nervous like you are to order online but luckily it all worked out. I don't know anything about the spacers really so I can't help you there. Good luck!

I've got a 2014 2WD Sierra.

Anyone know if the Zone 6.5" will allow me to run the stock 20" wheels with a 35x12.50? I really like the stock wheels and don't want to cough up the dough for new wheels.

Anyone running a 6.5 zone on their stock 20's?

It depends on your control arms. Most people (including myself) are unable to run stockers with stamped steel control arms due to the design

6" lift guys with 35's, what is your overall height to the top of the onstar antenna (not really worried about the FM radio height)? And is anyone running the factory 22" wheels? I like the OEM's and don't want to have to shell out the $$ for a new set of wheels. I have an 82 1/2" garage door opening (under the weather stripping) that is worrying me about this setup. I'm still in the looking stage as to what I want to put on, because it has to fit in the garage. Thanks for the help.

I have a zone 6.5 with add a leaf running 325/60r20 and im around 81-82 inches. Tried to be as accurate as i could be without a stool to stand on.

So I emailed Zone about the possibility of running stock 20"s with their 6.5" lift and they responded stock 20s will work fine with a 1/4" wheel spacer.

I'm not too familiar with wheel spacers but 1/4" doesn't seem like it could hurt too much.

Its that or run the rough country 7" where the stockers should fit fine without spacers. I've just read more positive things regarding the Zone lifts.

Zone is much better. If you don’t have stamped steel control arms you won’t need any spacer. Also make sure the spacer is lug/hub centric

What was your MGP drop? I also have to think about my 70 mile round trip to work every day. Also, what shop did you use? I'm in the Dallas area too

Could i get away with running bilsteins on the loswest setting, which is around 0.75", on my zone 6.5" lift? Couldnt see it being an issue as its not even an inch. Im upgrading to bilsteins on all 4 corners so i figure i may as well squeeze a bit of lift out of them if i can.

Could you? Yes.
Do I think it’s a good idea? Definitely not.
