I think the GMC looks much better... and can't' wait to get mine soon. But those Z71 emblems look totally Pep Boys. I can't believe GMC did that. I would take it off and put a decal on the bed like Chevy.

I'm not a big fan of emblems or stickers, so either one would most likely go from my truck. I didn't like the emblems at all when I saw them at the dealer.

Same here, usually when I get a new truck I get out the fishing line and eraser wheel.

What percentage tint did you use to match the rear factory tint?

The tint was 20% Llumar. I am not sure the exact one by Llumar, but the tint guy was the only one in the state with a Master Certification. He said that brand and tint matched the factory the best. Also, the strip on the windshield is 5% which gives it a nice clean look to tie it all together.

Cool. I've done tint many times. I'll look up that brand so that I can use it when I do mine. I was thinking 20% was about what it was. Thanks!

Looking good. Man those pics of the bed lights makes me want to go buy that part and install it on my bed. That really should be a standard option in my opinion! :-)

I think they both look good. I was all ready to order a chevy. After we got to looking at GMC we decided we liked it better. Liked the 20" wheels on the GMC better. Would be happy with either one.

Prdtrgttr - Was installing the leveling kit the same as the 2007-2013? I thought I heard something about the GMC having aluminum used somewhere it wasn't before in the front suspension.

The bed lights were well worth the upgrade from 08' to 2014 (in combination with many other awesome upgrades). After the tint two things left on the list. Rough country leveling kit and bed liner.

Previously I had a drop in liner and was happy with it, but am leaning towards a linex this time.

Opinions?

I have linex in mine and have had linex in my other two trucks and love it. It is the only way I will go now its well worth the money.

Line-X or Bed Rug. Drop ins ruin your bed more than they help.
