Bull Bar mounting

I'm looking to mount a Bull Bar on my 2006 Sierra 4x4 W/T. The online mounting instructions (for Westin and SteelCraft anyway) say to remove the tow hooks and install the bar using those holes. Well my 06 does NOT have any tow hooks and it doesn't like the frame is drilled for tow hooks. Anyone have a photo or two of how your Bull Bar is mounted on your 2006??

I don't have an 06, but I would imagine mounting them between the two body styles would be the same. I have the Westin Ultimate, and it has two brackets that go where the two hooks are. There's three bolts on each side that hold those brackets on, and the bolts go through the same holes in the frame that the tow hooks used. Then the bull bar bolts to the brackets. Sounds like you will have to modify your truck to get one to go on.

You mount it with bolts.

The bolt goes thru the frame, thru the bull bar, then you thread on what you call a "nut" on the other side. Then you take a wrench and tighten it. If you don't have the holes, drill some.

I got some time to look things over and I found the holes (once it stopped raining so I could crawl under the Sierra). Plus the Westin site was a help as it had instructions on it. Thanks to everyone who replied.
