How did you choose between the Sliverado and Sierra

I'm glad that I don't have to decide yet.

 

Fell in love with the GMC at first sight.

But after I saw the pics of the "High Country" I wasn't sure anymore.

 

My girls like the Silverado more (as they prefer the F150 over the GM trucks anyway...)

 

But I think I'm still leaning toward the Sierra.

From a completely opinionated stanpoint - the GMC looks better, from matter of fact standpoint, it comes w/ some little things you can't get in the Chevy (like the LED's and bed lights), may not make a difference to ALL but to some it matters.

 

For me the GMC was always the higher end truck and the Chevy was more the working man blue collar truck, of course that's all perception and they're both very similar, but the GMC was always a little bit "nicer" - hence why, up until now, there was never any ultra high end Chevy like the high country, but there was always the Denali for GMC.

 

I just think it looks better, alot of it has to do w/ the grill/lights, can't stand the bug eye lights on the Chevy and I also don't like the gold bowtie

I don't have the LED's and didn't want them but I do have the Bed under rail lighting. Just saying.....

Oh I didn't realize the Chevy had them, the GMC dealer told me they didn't LOL!

 

I don't hate the Chevy, I just don't particularly like the front end in comparison to the GMC, and also don't like the big gold bowtie. I prefer the plainer "GMC" on the tailgate, and I also seem to like more of the GMC wheel options than the Chevy. Lastly, I have a black all terrain and I think it is the perfect combo of color/chrome, the black bumpers remind me of the escalades and give it that more "upscale" look.

 

Lastly - and this solely in regards to the GMC AT model - I don't think there's a better looking 20" rim out there on ANY truck brand. The dark grey AT 20"s are siiick! So happy I got those on my truck!

I have to chime in here.... although I went used instead of a 14 GET THE TRUCK YOU WANT!!!! I always regretted not searching out a Sierra in 2011. I wanted one, I settled for the chevy because it was the "Same Truck"... It's not going to really cost you any more to go apples to apples vs. GMC/Chevy so get the right truck!

I like both, but the deciding factor for me is that Chevy offers the heated and cooled seats with the off road package while GMC does not...at least I have not been able to build one that way on the company's site.

If you're talking Z-71 package only you can get the heated and cooled seats in both. The all-terrain package is the only package that you can't get the cooled seats in (all-terrain package is purely cosmetic as far as I can tell)...
