2014+ Mud Guards / Flaps

I had a set of flaps on my Ranger, planned to do them on the Sierra now after a week I realized I NEED them. Even got a rock chip between the rear wheel well and tail lights. eBay has them for $84.50 a set of four, but the dealer will do $144 installed. The $60 is about 1/2 hour of labor at the dealership and said they'd be done in 30 minutes. I definitely think I'm going to have the dealer install them for sheer laziness, and ease of completion.

GL. With your dealer doing it 30 min!!!! Mine told me a hr $100. it took those donkeys like 2 1/2 hrs lol. I paid $ 50 Cause they told me 1 hour. I was the first 1 at there shop on a Saturday

To me, the OEM guards look much better and blend so well with the trucks. Other brands look like an afterthought, even if they are a bit smaller. Not saying they look bad, just not as fluid as the OEM ones.

Got some gator back mudflaps installed. The weather techs were nice and easy to install but didn't have enough coverage.

How did you install these can you take a pic of the frontside of the flaps so I can see how you mounted these. Also what did you mean about the coverage of the weathertechs not low enough or wide enough. Did you still get rock chips with the weather techs. Thanks

I had the dealer install them. It looks like they used some of the existing holes and maybe drilled a couple more.

Here's a comparison of the weathertech vs the new ones.

The weathertechs were just too small. But I do have pretty aggressive rock throwing tires and travel on gravel roads almost daily. The truck got chipped all to hell in only a few hundred miles.

Also how do you think it would look if I added the Oem GM or WeatherTechs or Husky's behind the front and rear? I am having trouble deciding if I should or not.

I'm on the fence. I would probably leave it like it is unless you drive a lot of gravel roads and actually need them.

So the answer would be, ok.

I do drive some on gravel roads. I try to avoid it but sometimes I have to. I plan on adding color matched fender flares so that might take care of it.

I had the dealer install them, don't know anything about them other than the gatorback name. I paid 130 a pair and 90 to install. Ended up being close to $400 CAD total.

Check Dura Flap out. http://www.duraflap.com/lifted.html They make a real nice bracket for lifted trucks, offsets the flap back. Not sure you'd clear the WT or Husky's hanging straight down, just a guess. These flaps have a great reputation, I probably will get the standard 14" wide, drill-less set for my setup - level with zero offset rims. I'm not a fan of mud flaps but I need them, hunting, sledding, extra - to much gravel/two track travel not too. I do think the molded ones, OEM and others, look nice but they would not last.
