Ok.. a better question... has any 2014 Sierra owner (with the fender protector) installed these? I'm not concerned about sivlerado

Fair Question, but again if you go to the WT website and search by Sierra, it's not an option if you have the wheel lip molding. click on the instalaation link and check out the video. It talks about the fastener system.

I have them for the Silverado. I'm sure they're similar in installation. I haven't installed them yet but from the looks of things they have two quick turn fasteners that secure them to the inner fender well. I plan to install them and see what I run into tomorrow. I had these no drill flaps on my F250 and they were legit no issues.

Thes mud flaps are advertised for both the silverado and Sierra 1500's. From amazon to eBay they're everywhere.

They don't make Sierra's without the fender trim to the best of my knowledge.

These are the OEM mud flaps I installed on my Sierra. It took about one hour because there is some drilling required and the rear wheels have to be removed (although I think you could avoid this with a small right angle drill). Installation is straightforward, and the instructions were complete. I purchased them in the correct color from shopgmcparts.com.

I installed the Gator Backs on mine. They are actually drilled into plastic on this model. I don't know how long they will last. Gonna need another screw in em for sure. I'd certainly get the molded ones if my truck stayed on pavement, but I need to protect it from stones and mud. Those molded ones wouldn't last a winter, or a spring for me. I like that the gator backs have lifetime warranty. Don't look as pretty, but certainly do the job better.

These mud flaps are no drill? How do they stay on the GMC with the molded fender trim? Any pics installed?

 

 

Just looked at their website, looks like you can't use it on the Sierra, since the website asks if there is a factory fender flare or wheel lip

Here are some pics of my OEM GMC black splash guards installed. They require drilling the plastic fender trim as well as the underlying sheet metal. They ship with very clear instructions, but you need very specific sized drill bits (33/64 iirc). Which was a pain for me to find, luckily I had one laying around. Other than that the install is pretty straight forward, and I am pleased with them aside form the inner flat horizontal sections that you can see catch a fair amount of dirt (as I mentioned earlier). Hope this helps.

Can you post a picture that shows the whole truck. I think they look good but it's hard to tell with close up pictures.

      Here's the second UOA on my 22 Wrangler with the Ecodiesel. This has 5k miles on AMSOIL Signature Series DEO 5w-40. The first one was dealer installed oil, no clue what it was, the second is what AMSOIL recommended, European FS 5w-40, Most of the Ecodiesel world is showing great results using the European MS 5w-40, I figured I would see how the DEO works. This is using an Ecoguard oil filter. It's my understanding this engine likes to shed aluminum.  We will see. So far I don't think this is too bad.

      I'm surprised nobody seems to offer a solution like the start/stop device I put in my new truck. Remembers my setting when shutdown. And while it still starts up in start/stop, it stores/evaluates what mode it was in when shut down and will change it whithin a second or 2 of startup. It'd be nice to have something like that for the DRLs.

      2015 Sierra 1500 here. Leaks from the sunroof to front driver side and soaks carpet. How do I fix this? Thanks!

      I will be doing that for sure, but I need to solve who has/ where I can find a bidirectional scan tool that will support OBD 1.5. I'm kicking myself because I ebay'ed a Snap On MT2500 that I didn't think I'd ever need anymore. D'oh!! I'd rather not buy another, so I'll contact a few local shops to see if they have one and how much they'd want to do the procedure. I'd rather have the ability to do it myself... I wish there was a modern tool that could do it all, but I'd have no idea what to buy.   The theory with the pulled timing is that it mimics a rich condition. The delayed spark causes incomplete burn and the O2 sensor picks up low oxygen levels. That's interpreted as a rich condition so the PCM pulls fuel and that shows up in the deeply negative fuel trims.
