Yeah, I have to agree with Wendy on this one - I've worked in a high end decal/wrap/tint shop for over 6 years. That unit is definitely dipped or wrapped - My money is on wrap. I can spot a wrap a mile away.

Sometimes two miles on a clear day.

I have no reason to doubt the owner in fact what difference does it make. I on the other hand don't have the balls to paint how much would it run to wrap?

We usually don't do jobs that large - our usual customers are sports cars, high end exotics or rally/track only cars. That being said, we have done several trucks.

It really depends on how detailed you want the job done. If you only want externally visible panels - Around $4,500. If you want to go all out for door jambs and such, closer to $6,000. Just takes a lot more time, and a lot of the pieces have to be cut by hand.

With quality material, a wrap like that could easily stand up to a few winters of abuse, before showing signs of wear.

I am actually in the market for a wrap. I wasn't convinced they keep the paint good but I was at a wrap shop while they pulled a 4 year old wrap off and the paint looked great! I want something different and not the normal flat black.

Well that's expensive for a wrap, and I doubt it will ever be as clean as a real paint job. I know a lot of people that do professional auto painting and for me they'll do my truck for no more then 3gs.

attachicon.giftruck01.jpg Got the wheel moldings color matched

Looks great. I hate the plastic mouldings. How did you have it done? How much? Edited by ahahnu

You can buy the color keyed wheel mouldings from GM.

Last I looked they only sold certain colors. Just checked again and only black, white, red, and prime. Stealth Gray isn't on the list, hence how did he do it?

Sonoma red, white diamond, summit white, Onyx Black, quicksilver and Prime-paint to match.

Paint to match is $200 cheaper than the colored. ones.

It's cheaper to paint the ones you already have on the truck. The dealership where I bought it painted the 4 moldings and the front fascia around the towhooks for $210.00

Just traded my 2014 High Country for this 2015 LTZ last night. It's the University of Texas Edition, but I pulled the stupid looking stickers off. I actually like the way this one drives compared to the High Country. a27f77457a44cded5c9ba8394b94069c.jpg

I'm not being hateful, truck looks great, I just really don't think its painted. You should snap some pictures of the door jambs though.
