Did the factory 20's / tires rub at all in the font after you dropped it? What about the rear? Did you have to do any trimming on the crossmembers or anyting?

My tires rubbed fender wells in the front and my driveshaft and differential would bump a crossmember and the bottom of the bed, respectively, on My 2006 CC sittin on a DJM 4/6. Definitely don't want these issue on my 14.

What's up JRoss

The factory 20's didn't rub at all except doing 20 mph U-turns which I don't do very often LOL and the 24's don't either. There was no cutting, trimming or anything done to the frame. You do have to cut the bump stop supports off and re-install the bump stops on the frame. I don't have ANY issues with the back.

I have a 05 ECSB with a DJM 2-4" drop and I didn't have a C-notch done and I would also hit the bump stops. These truck have a different frame than the GMT800's and from what I was told until you go to a 7" in the rear there will not be a need for a C-Notch.

I am completely happy with the lowering kit (McGaughy's #34160) it still rides like it did when I bought it because it keeps the stock shocks and springs.

Go for it man you can always return to stock but I doubt you will.

Every time I look at your truck I just like it more and more haha. For those of you saying to get rid of the trim around the fender your nuts. It's a great idea that should of been put on trucks from the beginning. You now don't have to worry about chips on your fenders and them rotting out. I agree that they need to be colour matched (I'm doing this too) but it's a great idea to have them there.

Can't just take it off. It's held on with clips....

So it sounds removeable to me if it's held on with clips. Correct me if I'm wrong but not all 14's have them.

They look cheap on an otherwise classy ride. :dunno:

The Sierra's have them and the Silverado's don't.

Once they are painted it will look just right.

There are holes in the fender where the clips snap in...

They should look good once colormatched. Here's a Sierra I found that had them colormatched, first and only one I've seen and I'd love to see more.

That truck is sick but I couldn't drive something like that as my DD. Seeing that makes me want to drop the mouldings off at the body shop today.

I still have mine on for now. I plan on getting the Plasti-Dip "True Metallics - Aluminum" for the GMC Badges on the front and rear and if I don't like the look after that I will remove.

Here is the Dip I'm gonna use. https://www.dipyourcar.com/plasti-dip-aluminum-can.html
