Seat position selector

Does anyone have experience adding the memory switches for the driver seat? My girlfriend is 5'2" while I'm 6'5". Needless to say after a night out shell drive and I can't seem to get my seat back to the right spot for weeks.

I wish I could help. I'm 6'3" and still can't find the "sweet spot" after a year and a half, and I'm the only driver.

Well, after you find the right position, use the manual to set your seat based on the remote you have in the vehicle. It's not hard, but if you never set it to begin with, you have to re position it and then set it to the remote.

I think he means his truck did not come with memory seats and he wants to add it on

Exactly, I want to add the seat memory feature. Maybe Jennifer can help out on this one? Is there a tech guy that can follow up at GM?

Oops, Jennifer did get back to me a while back and said they don't support this modification. Seems like it would be an easy one though

An easy one you say. All I keep hearing is gm doesn't support it. That being said, I'm learning compared to other manufacturers gm doesn't like to support a lot of things. Including items completely under warranty. Anyways this would be a bad ass addition if not with oem could there be an aftermarket option?

I am pretty sure it cant be added after the fact. The remote key fob, the seats and the mirrors are all part of the "Memory" function, it is controlled by the BCM. If you didn't have it from the factory then you are out of lucky unless Chris White can program the features in.

What method do the memory equipped ones use to measure the seat position?

I would love this. No manufacturer should build a non memory power seat. I actually leave a little note on the seat when getting oil change etc asking them to not move my seat. It is impossible to find that perfect spot again.
