Truck! No Wheels!

No he sold out. He leased an Acadia. His truck is in bad shape and he has to do some traveling for work in a few weeks so decided he couldn't wait the 6-8 weeks for truck to come in...

I understand. However, it sure would have been nice for both of you to have new Sierras with the SEY wheels.

Dang that stinks. My truck actually came delivered with the 22" black GM wheels. But they were not what I wanted. So the dealership let me take delivery with the 22's on. They ordered another truck with the right wheels (the 20's) and swapped em over for me a week after delivery.

Good luck getting it worked out.

Those are the wheels I am thinking of ordering for my All Terrain, though I like the stock 20" All Terrain wheel as well.

Also your dealer would worry me, there is no "tuning" or calibration for 22" wheels for the odometer or handling at all. Like said, it is the over all circumfrence of the tire that is inputed into the ECM to tell the odometer and speedo how far you have went,

Example on my 2001 Silverado, stock tire was 265/75/16 or you could get the 265/70/17.

265/75/16 = 31.65"

265/70/17 = 31.61"

this was verified when I tuned the ECM as well. They could have put any stock size wheel on the truck as long as it ran the stock size tire and your truck would have been fine until your wheels and tires showed up.

Todd, thanks for the post. Yes, I know, I went through the same thing with my H3 Hummer I had. I changed ti to 20 inch from 17 and no adjustments were ever made. Then I did the same thing with my 2012 Silverado when I put 20 inch wheels on it, bought and installed by the Chevy dealer, and no adjustments were ever made. I was just sharing what the dealer told me. Sometimes it's just better to go with the flow, you know. Once they offered to loan me the 22 inch wheels and tires from the parts department, I was good with the whole situation. I appreciate the info.
