So OJ does this mean your dealer never ordered the wheels and now they are rushing

The RPO code on the truck order is the reason it was built on 'steelies' -- this code also causes the 22's to be shipped. There is a different RPO code for each of the GM offered 22" wheels.

I got my Denali yesterday and the dealership install some great looking loaners until my RPO (SEY) 22s come in. Now my wife thinks she likes the loaners better than the SEY wheels. The loaners are 12 spoke with each spoke open in the middle. I must say they do look pretty good on my sonoma red denali. I just wanted to take this opportunity to applaud my dealership. I doubt seriously if any other dealership could have been so customer oriented from start to finish. The guy who actually ordered my truck called me religiously every time he got an update event code or any info pertaining to my truck. Furnishing the loaner chrome 22s was simply the "icing on the cake" so to speak.

No problem. Just know the SEY wheels on my truck made my dad a fan against his will. He's never owned a vehicle with anything bigger than 16's and he gave me hell for ordering the truck with these wheels that are "bigger than tractor trailer wheels." Well he's currently at the dealership, as I'm typing this, trying to negotiate the price on a new truck with the same wheels I have. Kinda makes me chuckle...

No he sold out. He leased an Acadia. His truck is in bad shape and he has to do some traveling for work in a few weeks so decided he couldn't wait the 6-8 weeks for truck to come in...

I'm not a huge fan of chrome wheels, but these SEY 22s are the best factory wheels on any truck right now.

This is a dealership issue. It really bothers me that more and more of these upgrades that we order are being installed by the dealer.

I would rather these things be done at the factory, so door panels etc. are not being taken off by some dummy at a dealership. The last truck I bought had the dealer installed chrome package option. Grill, tow hooks, door handles, mirror caps and exhaust tip. When I got the truck home I had to remove the exhaust tip and cut some pipe off because the tip stuck out so far past the side of the truck it looked ridiculous. I am afraid to think what they did to take the door panels off to change the door handles.

Not sure the panel has to come off. Most vehicles have a access port for the bolt that anchors the handle in the side of the door.

Yeah they come off..............................I helped a friend do his and they have to come off to get at a nut and to hook up the locking rods and change the key lock over to the new handle.
