2014 Silverado/Sierra cold weather grille cover

Up here in Alsaka, I just drove home from the dealership and it hit -23 in a few patches.....supposed to be -30 when I wake up. Every new vehicle up here, regardless of manufacturer, is sold with a block and battery heater. However, you can idle your engine for an hour before you drive away and it will still be under operating temp at that extreme of a temperature. All the cool diesels have them....any for the new gassers? I checked out Fia's and it says it it'll fit the 2011-14 model, but I'd hate to drop almost $100 and not have it fit perfectly. Anyone else have a similar experience? Any ideas other that cardboard behind the grille? Lol

Our vehicle was up to operating temp in less than 30 minutes of idle in Alamosa, CO when it was -40. And it has a clutch fan. :dunno:

You can always stick a piece of cardboard in front of the rad.
