I think it sounds pretty good at WOT.

But anyway, for those on the fence about what exhaust to get, consider this:

You can buy this exhaust for $330, and a Magnaflow muffler (for example) for another $100, and end up with a Magnaflow exhaust and save yourself $450, over the $900 Magnaflow system. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY like Magnaflow products, but their price for a cat-back is ridiculous considering you can buy the same thing for almost 1/3 of the price.

Exactly. I would really love to find a Corsa muffler to put in, but I don't know if they make any that are Center IN Offset Out. Everything I have seen from them is Center Center.

This is all you need to make any muffler with a shorter case work too.

Sig,this is true, but I am not sure how the metal quality is on the dynomax compared to the magnaflow system. And what is up with the exhaust tip on the dynomax kit? I also broke the clamp trying to put the thing on. It is slightly too large of a inlet diameter to fit over the tailpipe. The tip dynomax uses is made in China though so I guess that explains it.

I too broke the clamp on the tip.

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and I'm interested in a Borla system. I heard the GM Borla Catback in person today and though it was a nice sound, it really just had that "stock rumble" to it and I'm looking for something a little more aggressive. I am leaning towards the S-Type, but have concern about the drone. I don't know if the S-Type is the sound I want either, but I'm a little scared of the ATAK as I'm sure it has the most drone and longterm may be annoying. Does anyone run the S or ATAK?

Thanks,

Matt

Put the magnaflow on. Can finally hear the truck. Louder when idling and a good growl when accelerating

Nice which Magnaflow? Have any videos so we can hear it?

Has anyone install the cat back magnaflow 15268 MF system. I see some of you have installed just the muffler but i'm looking for reviews on the complete system. 950 includes polished exhaust tips. No flapper valve.

300+ cheaper then the GM Borla.

I found GM Borla $1050 minus tips GM Parts Direct ( Flow GM Auto Center ). I'm considering taking off the shop installed Magnaflow with cheap hangers and tips.

Alrighty, if I gathered the right info, to suit my needs for a louder rig. I need to cut the flapper and resonator out. Slap a magnaflow 14" (PN 12229) in. Then IMO 45 out to behind the rear passages tire to black tip Y. Anyone see any protenial problems?

Edit: take the stock muffler out as well....

Pretty much exactly what I plan on doing. 14" and add a dual 4" tip. No flapper or resonator. Should sound great!

That's what I had done. I with with a dual-walled 4" tip. Sounds great.
