2014+ Lowering / Drop Kits

Recommended Posts

Exactly what mine is. I'm pulling 1 spacer out of the right strut. It bugs me

I really only notice it if I measure it. I suppose with my big ass always in the driver seat it is to be expected that side would sit lower.

Also...

I decided to explore the rear vibrations/chevy shake I was encountering. First, the driveshaft. If you watch the rotation here, it seems to have some movement. Could very well be out of true slightly.

Then, on to the axle shaft flanges. Here are videos of each side and they are definitely not round.

Was it a pain to do the lift hanger. Mine show and I'm kind of dreading it

If you have a good die grinder and an air chisel, not horrible. The space is kinda tight is all.

I need to find a good shackle to add to give me 7" drop.

All you have to do is move the hanger up to the other holes.

If you're running a stock shackle now then you have to move the hanger to achieve 7

I'm already at the lower setting.

The Maxtrac flip with hanger is 5" or 6" depending on the holes used. I believe to acheive 7" I should've kept the stock hanger.

Something is not right then. All hangers for these trucks are the same.

Here is the hanger. You can see the bed seam folded over to get it as high as possible.a9420fa23360ece6a1086e61eaea0c2e.jpg

Looking at that, I dont think I could get a shorter shackle if I wanted to.

I think you're at 7 in back then

Not according to Maxtrac, but possibly.

What do you measure from center hub to top of wheel well? I'm around 18.5" rough measurement.

Just for comparison... my Belltech 7" flip, stock hanger w/shorter shackle (as pictured above) gave me about 7 3/8" drop.
