2011 Z71 5.3 engine update question

I have a 2011 z71 with 5.3 33000 miles afm bought new. Last oil change I noticed it was really low. SO logged on here started reading the oil consumption threads above for about 30 minutes but I'm confused on what my truck has / needs. It is encouraging that some have resolved this issue. I was planning on keeping this truck for a long time. I read about pistons rings updated valve covers catch cans deflectors. Can any one tell me what my truck would need to fix this issue? I'm curious at some model year are the new trucks updated from Chevy/GMC and does my 2011 have anything already? Apologies in advance if this have been covered a million times...

I got the superchips tuner for my truck and deactivated AFM through that. It corrected 95% of my oil consumption issues. My truck went from using 1 qt every 2.5-3k miles to 3/4 qt every 10k miles. Same oil (mobil 1) was used since I've owned the truck.

Lots of people on here has bought the RANGE unit and have liked it.

I bought my Superchips unit used from ebay for the same price as a new RANGE unit. With the Superchips unit you can firm up shifts and also have access to other tunes if you wanted to mess around with it.

When i bought mine, new, and brought it home, I immediately installed the Range AFM restriction module. At 1190 miles, I changed the factory fill oil for a full synthetic. At that same time, I installed a Conceptual Polymer PCV oil catch can.

I just changed the oil at 7340 miles. 6150 on the oil. In that time, I used 1/2 pint. It was down to the first notch below the full mark. The PCV oil catch can captured about half of what got used.

Here is what the catch can caught from going into the intake manifold and caking my intake valves and creating a lot of combustion chamber deposits.
