where's my "born on" date?

How you folks finding out what day your vehicle was built on?

NADER sticker. Open the driver's door and look for the white sticker on the post that has your VIN, etc.. It will be a date on the upper right hand corner. Mine say's 10/13.

 

You can PM a GM rep and get the actual date of the month if you want to go that far.

If that's not there, maybe the dealer can find out... With My Ram, the dealer printed out a sheet with all the options and it had the build date and time on it... wonder if GM does the same?

Yes, my Chevy dealer gave me a copy of the build sheet for mine. It has the build and ship dates as well.

If memory serves, you'll have a MM/YY date on sticker but no actual birthday date.

Can I ask why it even matters? All trucks have month/year on the door, so why do you need the actual day? To celebrate or something?

my build sheet did not match what was on my door. Door Jam had 5/13, build sheet had specific date (6/20/13).

Date on frame would be from frame plant, not the truck assembly plant.

On my 04, there is a sticker on most the interior panels. Says who did qc or put it together and a date. The sticker says "Misty B 8/20/2003". Date on door sticker says 8/2003

Old time auto urban legend says better vehicles are built Tuesday-Thursday. Everyone on the line is recovering from the weekend on Monday and distracted by the coming weekend on Friday. Not saying there is any truth to it, just passing on rumors and stirring the pot.

How you folks finding out what day your vehicle was built on?

 

I was curious about packages included in my vehicle, I have PM Jennifer and she have replayed back the same day with build date, plant and all packages included with definitions for all those codes they use

You can find all your info on options on the sticker in the glovebox. This site has a "dictionary" with info about the codes. I'm on my phone but I think it's called RPO Code Lookup.
