Building 2014 Trucks on Website

First time post, long time reader of the forum. I am getting ready to purchase a new 2014 Chevy Silverado. So I am guessing like most of you, I have gone on Chevy's website many times to build different trucks, and more times then not the website will not respond and freezes up. I have gone on a built a few GMC's and it has done the same thing, and usually the same place. It is where you choose if you want 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive and what trim you want. It seems to be a common issue with Chevy's website because it does the same for me whether I build a Tahoe, Suburban, or Truck. It doesn't matter whether I am at work or at home, does anyone else have this issue? I would think that having a functional website that is easy to use and customer friendly would be a top issue for GM. I guess I find it very frustrating, and wonder if anyone else is having issues? Thanks

No issues here and I kill time building trucks a lot too. Works on Safari on my phone and iPad as well as Safari on my laptop and Chrome on my work machine.

I have tried Chrome, Firefox, and I.E, it is very hit or miss. I tried right before I posted this and it wouldn't work, then right after went to build one and it worked no problem. Maybe its a sign that I am building to many trucks!

Maybe the government can help since they're so good at websites!

Does anyone know of a place on Chevy.com or anywhere that I can see what comes on these trucks with certain selections. For example on an LT it seems I cannot build a crew cab 4x4 with the all star package with 20" wheels. And same for getting the coco dune cloth interior it has to come with 22" wheels according to Chevy build page. The more I try to build the exact truck I want, it seems when I check another box something else falls off. I don't expect Chevy to build every configuration, just trying to get some ideas. Thanks

Sites like truecar.com seemed to be a little easier to follow how the options packages work and how a selection "disallows" some other option you've selected. May or may not believe the prices it reports when you build but i thought it was easier and a little less clunky than gmc/chevy sites.

Yeah I've had issues as well. It's kind of hit or miss. Sometimes it works okay and other times it freezes up. I've used my lap top, desk top and iPad and same on all of them.

Well I glad others have had issues, but its too bad for GM. I tried truecar.com and you talk about strange...the three engine choices for a 2014 Silverado is 4.8 V8, a 5.7 V8, and a 3.6 V6...Crazy.

I did notice that once or twice too...weird. Don't think it did it too me when i was building a Sierra though.
