I’m excited. Just ordered my console!  Didn’t need the upper trim piece since I already have it. Hopefully sometime next week I can get it and have it kind of installed till I order my harness from Phil!

Anyone know the part of this thread talking about how to use the USB inside the console box for media?  I can't seem to find it.  I'd like the option to use that for memory card or ipod.  Right now it will only allow me to charge.

Hey all.  I am new to the forum but have been following for a few weeks. I just got a 2018 Silverado 1500 LT Z71. It has the jump seat in it now and I really wanted one with the full center console.

I was a bit aggravated that after calling my Chevy dealer and them constantly telling me that they could not just order the parts for me. Then I went to searching. After reading through here I went on a search to find one. Want to give a quick shout out to @b-garage because it was his post that I saw he got the 2018 center console and he showed the part numbers I needed and where he got them. Read a little more and noticed Brian from GMPartsNow made a post on how to contact them. Sent them a mail and Jim replied. What a great guy to deal with. He pulled up the parts and got me an invoice. Such a quick turnaround! Whew, that is taken care of..

Then I went to @pgamboa and hit him up for a harness. Then realized I needed to find the USB data cables. Shoot, I went to searching and found that one of the cables were discontinued.  If it has not been mentioned on here, the USB data cable part number 19303285 seems to be discontinued. It turns out that it was replaced with Part Number: 84022323. So if it is not know(perhaps I have not read deep enough yet. LOL) then hopefully it will help the next person find the part they need a little easier! :)

Now that I knew the correct numbers, the new part seemed to be fairly non existent in the google search that I did. Again hooray for Jim. Sent him a quick mail and turns out he was able to find them and add them to my current console order to be shipped together.

Sorry for the rambling but I just wanted to say what a great bunch of folks I have run into that were able to make this happy so effortlessly and thanks to all the great posters here with all of the very useful information!  Way to go GM-Trucks.com! :)

Won't be able to show pics of it installed soon as I am on vacation for the next couple months but pics will surely follow when I get it installed!

Whew, I need a drink after all that talking. :)

Keep in mind, the used or junk lots are charging way to much for these and it was actually cheaper for me to get it from gmpartsnow.com and all brand new.  Used/junk lot tried to sell me a console without the top for $750 as they know they are a hot commodity for many of us.  I was able to get the full console for $692 brand new with free shipping.

Yes this included everything if you are working on the set up as Phil has it you only need to order two USB cables and his harness.

I've done the install exactly how he has it and I'm loving it

I found a 2016 that had everything I wanted including match my vehicle and then I sent them the Vin number for it so that they could match it properly

Mines a 2018, ordered the 2018 console which is the exact same as the 2016 except it has the newer version of the wireless charger.

Here’s my parts list:

Hey everyone. I have a 2018 Silverado that I just took off my jump seat from. It had 45 Miles when taken off. Brand new. Looking to see or ? Thanks!

Question? Do the 3 usb's in front play music to the stereo on the center console? Or just charging only? Thanks! I have a 2018 Silverado but got a center console from an older truck and still has 3 usbs in it.

    • Common Sense Assembly   Your driveline is forgiving of the occasional mistake. It will even often forgive the random serious blunder. But it will not forgive a continuous bad habit.      What? Not everything needs to be a five thousand word essay.
    • We drove about 15 minute east today to visit a friend and saw a steep increase in price in the same county. About 50 cents a gallon steepper.
    • Sure about that? A degree wheel and a dial indicator would lower your degree of assurance in that statement. 😉    It why we have offset keys and dialable timing sprockets. Just say'n.... I've built a few and have never seen one "On the money".
    • I will admit I haven't experimented much with pressure drops beyond the numbers I put in and part of that is that the numbers I used are fairly low and then found out it would trigger regardless at that 35 psi. Having said that I had tried before had changed the placard pressures and being that I have a 1 ton set to 80 on the placard for the rear I believe it triggered close to 60, the front I don't recall now for sure but thought maybe it could get close to 45 from that factory 60 placard pressure. So I never did figure out if it was a number of psi from placard pressure to the alarm or a percentage of the total placard number as some figured it was like a 25% drop from placard pressure would trigger it. So as to try and answer your question, I believe I set the placard pressure on the front to 47 or so and while I run the front tires at 40, they have dipped below that some if its colder and I haven't put "winter air" in yet and never once have had the front alarm go off. I would say that the answer your looking for is no, that if you set your placard pressure to 45, you have a certain amount of room to drop below that pressure before the alarm will go off.    The pressures you decide to run in your truck, that ends up being what makes sense to you based on what your carrying in your truck or if towing, then have to bump them back up to something that will carry the load in the rear and the fronts typically left at the same pressure. It all comes down to that chart I put the link to and using an accurate roadside scale to be your guide, both unloaded and then loaded to know your minimum safe pressures.    I just wish GM would allow a person to change the readings for the tire pressures to the English system of pounds as I have to look at that goofy metric reading that will never ever jive in my head and will go over and change it just to figure out what they are if need be and then change it back.
    • That part I understand, that the dealer can do it. But I'm not understanding why updates that were available to the truck since it left the factory, or the dealership originally, would not still be available to it without dealer intervention.   I'm thinking along the lines of recalls. They stay available until they are completed, regardless of whether they are in warranty or not, or in the hands of the original owner or not. Why not updates as well, especially since some of those can be safety related also?
