yup or a good snap on scanner just not a POS code reader that typically reads engine codes only .lol

remember ,there are only 10 or so modules on todays drive by wire veh's that love to barf out codes lol

its not just a plain code reader. it was fairly expensive and gets into some detail. ill post the name tomorrow after work.

Ok. So I don't want to pay the dealer just to say I don't have any codes... I would rather have a list of possibilities and go down the line.

I was at silver lake sand dunes this weekend and not having 4low sucked...

Also should the light "N" on the 4wd buttons come one when the truck is in neutral? Because mine does not. Also the line that goes under the P R N D 3 2 1 jumps around a lot and sometimes doesn't show up or says I'm in N when I'm in drive.

Another thing that happened this weekend was the truck wouldn't go into park something in the linkage in the steering column was holding it up. But broke free and was able to go into park. But now when I wiggle the shifter back and forth it's sloppy.

Your shifter cable end at the tranny is most likely broken where it clips in the bracket hence the inaccurate gear and no park complaint ,off roading does this on a regular basis,

I told you to get the TCCM scanned for a reason , find a garage (doesn't have to be a dealer ), that has a scanner and pull the GD code already ,
