Center Console Organizer & Accessories

Does anyone know of anything on the market for our center console's in front of the cup holders? The 2013 version was nice. Or where online you can get a second set of cup holders.

SLE's can have center console's as well bud. Not sure about LT's but I'd bet they can too, it's an option... Just sayin..

I think they all do with buckets seats. Didn't want the subject line too long. Just not liking that big hole, wish they had a cover with an ashtray like the older models.

You can't fit two K2 factory cup holder trays in the center console at the same time.

So, I wanted a console organizer for the cavern that is the center console on the new trucks, but didn't want to drop $$$ for it. Notice how GM markets the console as being able to use standard hanging file folders...how about a hanging file organizer tray?!? I found a couple, but only one was cheap. This Rubbermaid tray was only $7.99 with free prime shipping! And I found this coin holder for $3.xx as well!

 

 

I knew from the dimensions that it would be too long front to back to fit in the grooves of the console, so out comes the Dremel! Make sure to cut at a 90* angle, otherwise it will jump off the rails; learned that the hard way.

 

 

Next, I took off the backing of the velcro that came with the coin holder and stuck one side to the holder itself (bottom) and the other to the tray. I put the soft piece in the tray in case i needed to remove it , it wouldn't scratch whatever was in there.

 

Put it in the console and Voi-la! it didn't fit. The lid was hitting the raised curved sides of the tray.

 

Took care of that...

 

 

In and done!

 

 

Lid closes!

Found this organizer system for the center console. I hadn't seen it mentioned here before so sorry if this is a repeat.

On the larger side, it has a "hidden compartment" below what shows in the photo. Nice area to hide things..
