Exhaust Exit Options / Pics?

Well when I start it and let it idle I see the exhaust coming out so I hope its ok. Never really thought of that and no where in the Magnaflow directions did it say to watch where the tips come out.

as long as its coming out from under the truck your good. I know a guy who did his exhaust and it was straight back but he had the pipes about 2-3" behind the bumper and a cap on the back.. He kept getting fumes in the truck, it was bad. So he had to extend them out just a hair beyond the bumper to make sure it cleared.

being angled like that the you should be fine.

This is what I've been considering. Please forgive the Dodge. Thoughts everyone?

Ive seen this done on a few... I'm not a fan of it to be honest, but if you like it go for it. I think if the tips are done right it could look good but the few Ive seen done they werent the same level side to side and with them being square it really stands out if they are off

That's exactly why I went with the behind the wheels instead of straight. Seen too many trucks with sagging tips and it sticks out like a soar thumb when there straight back.

I'm with you guys. And I agree, any sag/misalignment will be exacerbated by the square tips. But I just can't get past the possibility of it looking goood. :) Seems to me that a square tip will fit in better with the blocky/angular bodywork on this truck.

I've got an exhaust man that I've worked with on several occasions who's even MORE picky than I. And trust me...that's saying something. More than once he's taken about 10 minutes to just literally stare at the exhaust to make sure everything is "perfect". And it is. Every. Single. Time. He's the man!

Here's a video I found while figuring out what to do with my tips, if you never plan on towing it would be neat to do

I've seen this done and think it looks great but I couldn't sacrifice my hitch and spare tire

This is mine. Took it to a local shop, told them what I wanted, and they had me choose between Magnaflow and Flowmaster. Went with Flowmaster because they said it was WAY louder. Didn't have pipes on my 2011 so it took some time to get used to the sound. Now I LOVE it!

I finally decided on this

I like that setup. Very nice and you get to keep your hitch & spare tire. :D

I have been contemplating giving up my hitch for that setup, love it!

Thanks for all the responses guys. I have decided to go with a side dump. Most likely I'll bring them out under the corner steps of the bumper, or just before the bumper.
Thanks again for all the help!
