Wheel Spacers

Has anyone added wheel spacers to their 2014 yet...Just wondering peoples opinions on them. Pros vs Cons....I don't really know much about them...I wouldn't mind my tires peaking out a bit from the wheel well.

Cheers to everyone!! :loser:

I had them on the rear of my 2012 so that they were even with my front track width after installing the lift. I ran BORA 1.75" spacers. They're the best on the market imo

If your tires stick out past the fender then you will massacre the paint on the body and behind each wheel due to the fact that rocks stick in your threads and gain momentum as the wheel spins then get tossed directly at these areas. Just an FYI... That's the reason people upgrade tires and wheels but also add flares. Really on a stock setup it will look funny and it's pointless, also it adds stress to the suspension parts/front end.

Wheels spacers are not a good idea in my opinion. I've read about them breaking off lugs and then making the wheel fall off a vehicle....

Ive seen them crack and cause the wheel to come loose. I wouldnt touch a spacer on my own trucks.

They are safe as long as you get good ones. I ran rough country on my last truck. It had 24" wheels and 37" tires. I had 0 issues.

It's all about personal opinion and maintenance. I've run them on 3 trucks, never a problem. Get hub-centeric spacers, re-torque every rotation and you shouldn't have a problem.

I'm running 1.5" hub-centric spacers on my '14 now, no issues.

Where did you get yours from?

I may be adding the ready lift 7/8 bolt on spacers, from what I am hearing with that size you have to trim about 1/4" off your studs to fit them. But its perfect size to push the tires away from the UCA but not too far that's its noticeable. anyone use these, ( besides GMC_dude) comments/reviews?

I ran 2" rear spacers on the rear of my 08 Duramax to bring the rear out level with the front. They were on the truck for 100,000km and that was a 3/4ton that pulled a 6000lb trailer occasionally.
Never had one come loose or any issues at all. I wouldn't hesitate to run them... as long as they were quality spacers, torqued properly, and so on.

I have heard horror stories about the cheap "slip-on" 0.25-0.5" spacers that just slide over your existing studs though, so I'd be weary of them. I've heard of them breaking, miss-aligning, causing balance issues, etc...

As for causing excess wear on front end components, it's no different then running offset wheels... so I wouldn't let that bother you.

I ran 1.5" spider tracks wheel spacers on my '07 grand Cherokee with a 3" lift and biggest tires I could fit. As someone else stated regular re - torque at each rotation and spending money for good ones is key. Mine were listed as hub centric and wheel centric made from billet aluminum with an anodized coating. I had absolutely no issues with them at all. Put probably 20k on them before I sold it. Biggest pain was finding some one to overlook them during inspection time. Pa. Requires yearly inspection and they are illegal for Pa. vehicles.
